What did you guys think of the new version of KZ? Underbalanced, overbalanced or just right? I think her pistol needs just a bit of a range buff, it's TOO short now in my opinion, but that's me saying that without having played against KZ so my perspective is a little limited on that. Maybe once we get medpacks put in, it'll be enough of a buff that you won't need to increase the range on her pistol when uncrouched. Oh, her crouch is bugged right now, so don't use it yet!

Also, that Illusionist character is FUN to fight against!! It's hard to escape him, but he's not overpowered about it, and his character is so different and unique from all the others that it's just a blast to play against him!

Though you aren't complaining, I should point out that the Sig rarely gets used though, due to its very short range. If it were any weaker, it would be useless compared to her MP5 because right now, her Sig only does 4 more damage than the MP5! It's partly why ranged explosive characters are so powerful against her, like Slain, Anna and Techno Viking. Its real purpose right now is to take down close range enemies when they're beating you up, because the MP5 isn't tough enough to put them down when they're that close. If you keep just outside her range with the pistol, she's unable to use it at all on you, forcing her to rely on her MP5 which just doesn't cut it in most situations. Still, she fills her role very nicely right now, and when we get crouching worked out (it's VERY buggy right now, even with the version me and Neu are working on at the moment where her arms keep flying off every time we stand back up) her pistol will get a simultaneous nerf and buff. You'll see!

Considering how tough it is right now to get in range for Afro and Jack, having that ability is very important.. right now. In the future, once they've gotten some more abilities to close the gap between them and their opponents, it'll probably get a nerf from Mr. Rebel, who knows?

Illusionist has the best death animation right now and his taunt is simple yet fitting.  It is a bit awkward not being able to sword lunge when a void knight is out.  Speaking of which is it possible to maybe add a jump feature for the void knight?  Being able to control when and if it jumps should add some fun to being an illusionist in my opinion. I would give this class a 7 out of 10 for now.  Very weak in maps with wide open spaces and strong in maps with short ceilings and tunnels.

Reisen is a bit disappointing.  Is she suppose to be using a gun?  I thought she was going to shoot lasers from her finger or have some sort of special attack that not only does damage but also effects something else, like an enemy's reload rate, change in rate of fire, or letting them get friendly fired on.  Anyway the way how her current kick works now, it seems too difficult and unpractical to use at all and her down+m2 damage beam leaves more to be wanted.  I didn't think she was suppose to be a short character but I don't really know much about touhou so I guess that is right?

Right now, crouching just halves her hitbox, doubles the Sig's range... and freezes you in place until someone kills you. And yes, having her lie down would look very awkward and would make her even harder to hit at most angles.. but would also make it harder for her to shoot since her gun would now be on the floor.

When crouching is completed, the Sig's range will be doubled, but its firing speed halved to just a tad faster than a spy's revolver, meaning it will no longer be per-click, but it'll at least allow you to hold down the mouse to fire it rather than tapping it, which will put your finger at ease at least. Her MP5 will get a smaller spread, shoot perfectly straight, and greatly increased distance, enough to cover the whole screen and half of the next, like the spy's revolver again. But again, like the Sig, her MP5's shooting speed will be lowered even further. Reason being is that, when she's crouched like that, what's KZ's really doing is taking her time to make better shots. Being able to crouch will give KZ a much higher versatility on the battlefield, allowing her to pick on enemies from afar like an unzoomable, 8 damage sniper, or bruise enemies with her Sig until they're in range to be rapid shot by it.

In the future, she'll have 3 little medpack injectors on that belt around her thigh that restore 30 HP to herself or a teammate. They'll have a massive time between use though, about 8 seconds for 1 medpack to come back. This ensures that she's not invincible, but she can help her team hold against Red's super classes like Vein, Agh with all his stuff put up, or Psychopath and Techno Viking combo just a little longer when nobody else feels like being Drool Warrior or Medic. She'll basically be a mobile TDM health pickup when that gets made. When we code this in, we might lower her health to 130 instead of 140.. might.

Oh, and I'm SUPER glad you guys like the new KZ! This is what she was originally designed to be like (though her pistol had twice the range and MP5 had half the range, making her very OP with the stats they're supposed to have).

It's supposed to be able to be uncrouched by pressing ANY directional button though. And when I played, I pressed W repeatedly and nothing happened.

Now that I think about it, that MIGHT have been because of my controller. It's been dying a lot because there's a rip in the cord, it might have just died at the time I was crouched. I'm working on replacing it.

Craz was playing as him earlier, and those new sword attacks are GREAT! Craz wrecked my shit when he played as him. Also, again, my controller was probably dead, so there's no need to lose sleep over it.

Also, Neu and I weren't able to do anything tonight, but last night we began work on the crouch mechanics. We've got the guns behaving how they should, but not the SPRITES for the guns.. It's weird. I mean, the Sig's just fine when KZ stands up, but the MP5 will reappear several pixels over her head, even though the code tells the game to make both guns go back to the exact same height on her shoulder.
