General:
- Fixed gibs = 0 division bug
- Fixed dedicated server host mode bug
- Fixed Windows 8 sound bug
- Fixed client rubberbanding with Vault Boy (should work hopefully)
- Made Elevators sync more regularly (upon contact with a character and when it reaches the top), so there should be less desync
- Made it so you can't scroll the chatbox while it is hidden
- Chatting now displays the chatting bubble over your head properly
- Added a 10 second TDM round start period where you can change your class. You will be in grace period during this time.
- Added a new intro song. Beat from J Dilla - Dunnun It Kalimba.
Maps:
- Changed tdm_norfair slightly to have better streamlined slopes near the corners, instead of forcing tricky jumps.
- Moved koth_bastion spawns further back.
- Added koth_valhalla. Directional keys move you through the wind columns.
Rosie:
- Added a slight damage falloff at mid-long range
Quote/Curly:
- Changed controls to match keyboard Cave Story controls
- You can change to AZERTY controls under Advanced Options
- Arrow keys to move around, Z to fire, X to shoot, A/S to switch weapons
- Removed regular nemesis shots (they might return later)
- Added Spur, Fireball and Blade (back again)
- Increased HP to 150 from 130
Adam Jensen:
- Added a slight damage falloff at mid-long range
- Increased pistol damage to 18 from 15
Powdered Toast Man:
- Increased HP to 200 from 175
Tassadar:
- Increased movement speed to 0.85 from 0.80
- Psionic Bolts do 1/3 less damage per tick against buildings.
RebelINS:
- Added a slight damage falloff at mid-long range.
Vein:
- Added a slight damage falloff at mid-long range.
Asiafat:
- Fixed bug where goo did not last as long as it should have. Goo lasts for 8 seconds.
- Spindashing leaves a short goo trail. Spindash goo lasts for 1.5 seconds.
Jaina:
- Fixed a bug where you couldn't shoot triple arrows if you cancel it into dodge too early.
Red Mage:
- Heals and buffs should give you the proper assist time window and points.
- Replaced Demi with Flame Barrier. Surrounds the cast target with 4 flames that do continuous damage to enemies touching it.
- Rapier slash now applies poison to the enemy. It deals 7.5 hp/sec for 2 seconds and can be stacked up to 4 times (maximum is 30 hp/sec).
- Holding forward with Rapier slash now sends you forward further, while holding backwards will swing you back slightly.
Argagarg:
- Increased damage of Elemental straight punch to 40 from 28
- Increased damage of Elemental uppercut to 55 from 42
- Increased damage of Elemental hop splash to 30 from 22
Bard:
- Fixed bug where you could play instruments consecutively, without the regular cooldown between songs.
- Using auras on allies should give you proper assists and points.
- All songs now play a short jingle.
- Due to the jingle length, animations take longer now. To compensate, Float, Enfeeble and Shell aura effects increased to 10 seconds from 7 seconds. Regen aura effect increased to 2 seconds from 1.17 seconds.
- Regen aura decreased to 0.5 hp/tick (15 hp/sec) from 0.667 hp/tick (20 hp/sec).
- Lute swing now shoots a musical note projectile that deals 10 damage.
- You can now play instruments while moving at around 3/4th speed (0.75).
- Increased Enfeeble aura to be 20% larger
Acidlead:
- Increased the speed of Noodly Hook.
- Noodly Hook homes into nearby enemies within a small 75 pixel radius.Q/C got an overhaul. You control them Cave Story style now. Not being able to Booster and charge the Spur at the same time is a known issue and unavoidable right now due to hardward level limits on keyboard input.
The only nerfs were minor damage falloff changes to classes with super long, multi hitting ranged attacks, like RebelINS, Vein, Adam Jensen and Rosie. They are still exceptionally good at close-mid range though.
A few characters got some minor buffs. Powdered Toast Man +25 HP makes a better tank, and the overall most mobile tank now. Acidlead Noodly Hook buff makes it a lot easier to connect and should see more use now.
A couple of the underpowered classes got some substantial buffs. Red Mage and Bard's melee attacks are now much better. The Flame Barrier spell is a really good buff for fast classes, and an extra keepaway option for Red Mage. While the increased song animations are a nerf for Bard, the increased duration now gives your teammate a lot more time to capitalize on the buffs. Enfeeble mid-battle is more useful now because the aura is larger. The playstyle is now closer to what I originally intended.
Argagarg elemental damage buffs are there because of how hard it is to actually land hits. Asiafat Bio Rifle bug fix means that his shots can actually set up defenses now, instead of just being a ghetto flak cannon.
