It's not really intentional, but he is holding the luger and the sword in different hands so it does make some sense I guess.

He can also summon a void knight as he shoots. Shoot + summon + stab in one steb. Behold da spam!

the summon and shoot/stab was intentional as I got complaints that you couldn't do both and it felt awkward too.

You can't stab while a void knight is present unless it is at the very end of the void knight's life spam.

My favorite class is myself for both the obvious reason (it'sa me!), and also because she fits my playstyle perfectly.

My favorite class that's not KZ is Dante, due to his extreme versatility and usefulness in almost every situation. He can catch quick classes by charging up his sniper gun and sending out a net of purple blasts, or he can break up a group with his grenade launcher, or he can dice up close range fighters with his sword, and when he's low on health he can use his Devil Trigger to heal himself up. He's also helluva lot of fun to play as, his grenade launcher's extremely fun to me for its obvious hitbox and smooth trajectory. Not to mention those sword slashes are fun on a Super Smash Bros. level!

Illusionist thrives in wide open maps were he is able to fully use his Luger and Shadow/Knights to their full extent.
In short maps or maps where you enter cramped areas, his fire power doesn't fair well compared to others and his sword is useless if the enemy is near a wall since walls make it end prematurely.

Rosie Stark is another character I enjoy.  High hp, movement, explosives, and an automatic rifle really gives her a quiet a bit of staying power if used correctly.

My favourite class is Heheman because no one knows how to play him right. There's a certain level of satisfaction you get with him that you don't with any other class. Any mid-range hits on moving targets is hard as hell. Off-screen kills are probably the hardest thing to do in the mod.

Oddly enough, I feel that he is the only working artillery class that is done in a way that doesn't make him over powered.

For close up combat, a simple troll laser into a m1 tap is an easy 80+ damage.

However at longer ranges, a troll laser into a charged shot is much, much more difficult. You need to time when to start charging in and actually aim your shot more carefully. If you pre-charge too long, you have zero chance of hitting them even after you force them to taunt.

I gotta' say I love Vault Boy if he's got 9/10 strength and decent Stamina/Luck.

Also is there a chance some classes will be immune/resistant to acid and lava?

No immunities to acid/lava because they could allow really stupid runaway that's hard to stop.

and yes, Honda is a deceptively good class considering how simple he is.

My favorite classes are the close-range classes. They always pack a punch to compensate for their low range.

I'm speaking in general of course, Drool Warrior is one of my favorites in this case.
