It's got a different UUID, you'll have to download the mod I'm afraid.

how do i do that?  i'm a bit of a computer buffoon i'm afraid.  do i just put it into my gg2 folder?

Yes, it goes in the same folder as your Gang Garrison 2.exe if you want to play with your own name and settings.
