Using a forum for bug reports may have been a good idea in the beginning, but with 15 pages of threads in here already, it's probably a good idea to get more organised and use a proper bug tracking system. To that end I have registered GG2 at Launchpad, a project hosting site for free software which (among tons of other stuff) already hosts the Garrison Builder.
To test this new system, please report new bugs at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/gg2 instead of or in addition to posting here. If you report a bug both here and on Launchpad, please provide a link to your forum thread in the Launchpad bug report and mark your thread by adding [LP] to the beginning of the title. Please give it a try if you have a bug, so we can work out any problems. Reply to this thread if you have any questions.
At the moment, this is still an experiment since only Bacon has given me feedback about (and approved) the idea so far, but if all goes well the plan is to move all bugs that still matter to Launchpad and close down this subforum completely. Later, we might try moving Feature Requests over there as well, but I'm not sure if there are as many benefits in that.
So what
are the benefits?
Developers will be able to see at a glance which bugs are still open, which ones are already being worked on and so on. This saves time and makes it easier to get working. As a result, players will probably get their bugs fixed more quickly, and old bugs won't be drowned below new reports and forgotten once they leave the first pages.
Thanks for your attention.
