Hi friends, good to see some familiar faces still posting here.

Dream Theater - As I Am

Train of Thought is their best album by a mile
I'm not sure if its by a mile, personally I think Scenes from a Memory is pretty close. I will say I'm really not a fan of Awake, like at all.

The Mirror is a good song

that's so funny i was not aware of this

I had no clue this song was in DBZ, it is a good one!

From the same album that DBZ track is from, Scene Two II. Strange Deja Vu

This whole album is beautiful, the songs all link together so listening to the album in full it's kind of like a play (as evident from the song titles).

just got into crowbar after avoiding them for the longest time because of their terrible name and aesthetic *edit: and probably because of beavis and butthead honestly

i remember their frontman loosely saying "you can say i suck and call me fat all you want it keeps bringing me more fans" or something to that effect

chuck schuldnier said roughly the same thing iirc minus the fat part

edit: both took it nicely and mike was cool with them both for years, just didn't like crowbar at all and kinda hated death metal in general

on that note i'm amazed that spotify finally added some of my top 10 albums since i thought nobody cared about crust punk anymore

i hate when you find bangers and they aren't on spotify.....

yea this fucks tho, bumping the whole album right now

i prefer more melodic grind/crust/dm

death was just another example of a band mike judge completely brapped on and were like "that was hilarious thanks for the exposure" whereas several others felt offended or thought it would ruin their careers (they didn't predict emo kids doing precisely that 5 years later)

also here's the good shit if that's more your thing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTuS0tGxcUs#

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1jYESqK4kM#

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7l6-fj80xU#

look into anything that identifies as "blackened hardcore" too because they wanna be detached from crust for some reason and you'll find the best shit out there
