[SSP] Quake

Quake
Does not actually resemble Quake

  • Scouts only - with 120 max HP
  • Mouse 1 to fire a weak rocket with high knock-back
  • Mouse 2 to fire a sniper - Does critical damage to any enemies launched by a rocket (including their own or their team's)
  • More character control and air control, higher base move speed
  • Health regeneration after 5 seconds of not taking damage
  • Short invulnerability after re-spawning
  • No ammo

To use, add to your gg2.ini:

ServerPluginList=quake
Should have minimal conflicts with other plugins or mods.
Recommended to be played with a fast re-spawn time.

MedO forwarded the approval request to me. I tried this out a bit, seems like fun, but alas I have had nobody to play it with and I am currently in Sweden with no access to my Windows PC for real gaming :)

It's approved, add it to your ServerPluginLists and drop from your ServerPluginDebugs etc :z6:

Didn't get to see what triggered it, I think people were starting to leave, so maybe a player disconnecting?

  • Added a sound effect and new visuals for a critical hit
  • Should have fixed teleport bug
  • Slightly increase damage of critical hit to reduce cases where players are left with 1 HP
  • Fixed error with ammo bars

Tested this out since someone was hosting it, absolutely fantastic, though there's still cases of being left at 1 hp even after the first update to which I'll admit is the cheapest way to comeback an excellent pair of hits.

However I've noticed that the rocket will counteract your attempts to launch people majority of the time, and the easiest way to get the critical hit is to wait for them to launch themselves.
