Main reason was team colorization though, but I think color you're using is too... somewhat not balanced.
It's too hard to make you understand because I'm not a good at art, but your work I denied is very unnatural in color.

Try not to use basic colors of your art tool, I don't know what you're using but.
With the color select tool, try to make your own color that suits with your item.
I'll make you a sample for you. Please wait.

Guys I have a little idea that if we can for this next update that is after the most reacent one lets try to make LESS Soldier, Heavy, Engie and Spy items ok? I feel it's a bit too much. And Lets TRY to make for the other classes.
And Me and I hope others too will follow the good rule of item making "If U make it now... Check if someone will want to acutally use the item too!" Just a little rule to TRY to follow so it's not about the number of submissions but the detail and work placed into a submission. ( I know it's a mistake I made at the start, but tried to perfect as I was going along)

So, here're steps I followed to change your work. Remember that I'm not a good artist too.

And here's my work. Using your work, I've changed little bit of outline to show main feature for jester, and changed almost all of your colors.
Color is not even that different. I used max saturation colors like yours, and basic team colors used in vanilla gg2. Even that ivory color is same with yours.
The difference is obvious. I can see my work and not yours literally because color you're using is just making our eyes ache.

Also, I've added basic features of jester above. That symbolic hat, clothes that has color divide for each part.
I can't say that my work is the best, but you can just improve yours by changing it really small bit.

These mistakes was in his Bowser set too, it's real eyeburn. I am bad at english that's why I couldn't tell him about fluorescent colors.
