UNLESS YOU WANT DESYNC, sync your taunt frame for frame with the originals length(s), that is unless WoodNeck has some kind of bypass going on modifying each classes taunt length to match the customs

Your best bet is to literally grab the GG2 sprite source, path your way to whatever class your skinning, and re-use the already place frames so you don't miscount. This is to be done for BOTH TEAMS and obviously separate colour schemes

If a user that hasn't downloaded plugin can enter gg2i, I'll tell that it would be a problem.
But as current system only allow non-gg2s(not registered) user, I think that it would be okay.
I made desync not to happen. For both shorter/longer version.
For item types that can be problem when changed its length, like Omnomnom and stab animation, I restricted its length so it won't be a problem.

I think that modifying original sprite is best practice though, starting animation from the beginning can be hard.

I wanted to make taunts and other items this week but I didn't  :z7: :z7: :z7:

You can make them this week.. There is no standard update date... So just submit your items and sooner or later they will get checked and implomented. wn ain't a commited dev yet since he has a life of his own to worry about so there are no promises of updates on the weekdays.
