And i make my backgrounds a darkish color like dark gray or something... But not transparent!
You intended to do that? But I just can't accept things like that, as it's just make your items not match with other items.

As you can see, all other item thumbnails have transparent background.
Please make it transparent.


And i check my items before submitting them since the preview i make is in the item tester so when i make screenshot i instantly see if there is something wrong with it!
Actually, I found your Bionic Helmet's Run sprite is wrong. Red side's first frame has 1px difference with others.


And what I want to say is:
1. If you don't have confidence in making thumbnail images, just clip off item part(don't include character) from your item sprites and use it for your thumbnail like you did it on Franken series. It's more good to add more color for contrast.
I think most of thumbnails from your work, for example, Christmas Antlers, Candy Crown and Explosive Cape is actually awkward.
It's even not placed at the center of image, and just make me think that it's drawn in 10 sec.
Things like Scout dog is nice, but it's not also in center. Imagine how it'll be seen on website with border, in 256*256 size.

2. Think about users who will use your items, whether they'll use your item or not.
If I was a customer, I'll never use your Pens and Knife because it doesn't changes almost anything from original.
I even can feel bad if I get that item on gacha. As coins are precious, you know.
I think that item just for one person is not appropriate, so I didn't have made 'Self-Made' quality before.
It's currently exist because I thought it can be simple but powerful method to support creators.


Don't think I'm blaming you.
I don't think that your works are wrong, just telling your works can be more appropriate for everyone in that way.
I suggest you not to make lots of items, but to make your own one precious item that everybody admires.

Ok so I will try to take a bit more care with the thumbnail positioning ;)
I know they are real beginner mistakes :/ Since i kinda am one.
I will try to make them better  :)

Also it's always nice idea to port tf2 item into gg2i.

I have tried looking from tf2 items to try to make in gg2 though at the same time the pixel range to make it look good is so little. For example the anger from tf2 for sniper looks cool but when u try to make something that detailed in gg2 it just dose not look good since u most of the time trying to place the detail in will make it look huuuuge comparing to the players head. So tf2 most of the time is a dead place for searching references!

Btw u think about that unusual increase! Just obviously not too high! And it was fun playing with u today! Hopefully we can do it again some other time!
If u gonna give yourself unusual to test then remmember to take it out when done testing otherwise ppl will yell ABUSE, UNFAIR!

@Woodneck These are just suggestions but you might want to read anyways

Bitmixing: So far, people have not understood what is bitmixing and why it's not used. This might have to do with the first five pages of this thread and especially your OP and reserved posts all show bitmixing examples. You might want to ask the appropriate moderator here to prune the thread up to poll closing date while you redo the OP and reserve to clean up any misinformation

Allowance: No matter what you do, Q/C is bitmixed, so any item for them should have a guide. With the vote against bitmixing, Pet's are then very difficult to create. You might want to lift the 'ban' for them only with another guide.

It doesn't have to be, but this is where your trouble might be coming from
