[MHMd] Deadgift

I mean I know it's spooky to have empty categories, but I'd rather have the mods/plugins section not dead
Anyway


    DeadGift
            Just because you're dead doesn't mean you can't be generous!


This plugin gives every Character a Gift when they spawn. When they die (aww) they drop their Gift, and then another Character can pick it (yay)
The fun thing about it? If you don't die for a long time, you will wind up with tons of gifts!

And everyone will see(1), as you got the biggest gift of them all, that you truely are...

(1) : nobody else will see because this is a clientside plugin
 

 


Unzip the attached file into your Plugins folder. You should end up with a gml file (deadgift.gml) and a folder (deadgift).

Dumb request, but could the ribbon colo(u)r of the presents be team neutral (green)? =P (or otherwise RED players have BLU gifts and vice versa)

Some gripes I have with the plugin:
- The graphics above the Players' heads should display something when the present icon is too small to be visible. There's a lot of empty space otherwise
- Respawning and the map restarting (in the case of tiered maps) drops presents

If this is still a thing, cloaked spies can't grab gifts.

You can see passive invisible spies and you can also see them for a while after they cloak.

spies with this mod are not visible, I know playing around with the spy and did not see me :curly: :z2:

I meant you can see enemy spies. Also since this is a client-sided plugin, you´re the only one who can see the gifts and bars on your head; other players can´t see what you´re seeing unless they´ve downloaded the same plugin..

You made me download and check my code
But I'm pretty sure it shouldn't happen. I'm going to actually play/test it, but really the bar should be as visible as the spies themselves -- which means it's invisible if the spy is invisible

Edit: just tested it, it doesn't show invisible spies. Maybe you have an outdated version, or your draw_set_alpha implementation is broken -- in which case it's your GPU and I can't do anything about it.
Well technically I could by removing the HUD on spies altogether, but there's no fun in that

I appreciate the fact that mod "fix" a glich with spy he can shoot being invisible  :z3:


it's annoying but when becomes invisible actually it becomes invisible to all and the counter included :x28:

I think everyone means you could see where cloaked spies pick up gifts.
