I want the game where this thread gets deleted because I only actually created it so I can write some random crap down.

The retail version of Black Mesa, since the free mod is unfinished and difficult, and because the finished version looks more badass and less frustrating.
I prefer badassery to horror. :z7:

Retail is unfinished, doesn't have Xen yet.

The part you recorded does not look hard like in the mod. I bet they actually playtested the game for the Steam release.

heaven forbid a video game gives you a challenge

difficult games are lame anyway. i'd much rather breeze through everything with minimal effort than work towards overcoming a challenge.

I don't own any present-gen consoles, they're still too expensive where I live. Here, with the amount of cash you'll dump for a console and games, I would rather start a roadtrip, or financing a car.

In my case, first I would need to build a proper, updatable PC both for gaming, art and my work (designing and simulation on CAD and CAE), with some extra external hardaware (double-click mouse, external hard-drive...) That would on benefit everything that I do, and I see it as a good investment, not only for gaming.

After that, both Asseto Corsa and Project Cars are on the top on my wishlist:

Although both are playable with a gamepad, the proper way to enjoy them is with a good steering wheel. That being the Logitech G27, and that's another item on my wishlist:

Yes you can play these on a gamepad, and even set good laptimes, but you won't have as much control necessary to be a competitive and safe racer online, neither the complete force feedback that will give you the proper feel of the car's behaviour and track patterns. You'll also need a lot more of practice. I know all of that because I do still play racing simulators with a XBOX 360 Gamepad, shame on me :z7:.

Now, steping out of the racing realm, I would say the other ones are Mafia III and GTA V.
