Hey folks. Here's my newest map, koth_skylight:



It's a map based on the idea of a Martian skylight: large, nearly circular holes on Mars which result from the ground collapsing into a lava tube. These could be future sites for human habitation. I took some artistic liberties (normally, the cave walls would be composed of basalt, the bluish-grey material to the top right), of course. But I think it's still interesting to imagine/explore a site where humans, shielded from the harsh winds of Mars, could live safe and sound and maybe plant a tree or something. To be completely honest and explain the tree, I had been reading about banyan trees when I drew up the original concept for the map.

As you might be able to tell, I could have put more work into this map. However, I had/have other priorities, so I didn't get to work on finer details like lighting, parallax, etc. Or moving platforms -- I had no idea those were a thing. In any case, I hope you enjoy.

EDIT: The current version of GG2.exe has a GB menu option, and a new feature is (re)sizeable entities
I encourage to redo them
