TOURNEY CHALLENGE #4: "Come on and Slam"
Win the tourney to get a prize.
Last year, the company basketball game was a huge success. According to the books, productivity skyrocketed during the month after the game and we even managed to get into the black for that month without large increases in product sales. I am old, but I am no fool. I realize the benefits of morale on worker productivity and I am quite pleased to see that you all enjoy this game.
We’re going to do it again, Mercantiles. Another company basketball tournament and, in true Bann Mercantile Group Fashion, there are prizes in it for you. Good luck, and welcome to the jam.
- We will be using the Bball Server-sent plugin for this tourney. Good news, nothing to install this time.
- Signup at the IRC (
Find it here.) will end at 2:30 PM EST for the 1st showing. Signup at the IRC will end at 6:00 PM EST for the 2nd showing. Remember, the channel is #RAYBANN. So far, we're looking at Saturday, August 29th for the date.
- For those who need it, here is a time zone table. EST time is New York time.
http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/world.time.tzc- Teams are instantly randomized in IRC once deadline is up (via random.org/lists)
- A single elimination bracket will be quickly generated (if there are not enough people for single elimination, we will use round robin)
- The tournament host will randomize the bracket and teams.
- In the case of an odd number of players, a tourney organizer will sub in as a partner for the odd man out until we can find someone else to play.
- This tourney will try to finish in 1 day, so matches are done in a quick format.
- Maps will be rotated through the existing maps that support Bball.
