Well, it's really simple actually.
How do you know if a part of the body has to be part of the hitbox? You think of what its name stand for.

Examples:
Do you think the ARM of the player is important? Well, it's Actually a Really Major part of the body. So it's part of the hitbox.

How important is the LEG? It's... Literally important..no,Extremely important, wait..Gorgeously important. Well, it's obviously part of the hitbox.

Now, what do you think of HEAD? Do you need it to be part of the hitbox? Honestly, Evidently, you Actually Don't. Yeah, that's the reason why it's not part of the hitbox.

Heads are not really the good things, if it hits you in the head you are dead, but not so long in GG2 , your head is like every other gib on yourself, be careful dont watchout just for your head, watchout for every other , such as your back , cause the Infiltrators love them!

How are the mercenaries able to respawn every time they die? It's because they are spirits. They are the spirits of beheaded warriors from long ago, to be exact. They are simply put into physical bodies to continue waging their wars against each other. The weapons they use are not ordinary weapons, but weapons that pierce into the spiritual realm. However, since these spirits were beheaded in their mortal life, they no longer have heads to be hit by these weapons. Once a spirit is wounded enough, it loses control over its current body, returning the body to its postmortem state, or even causing the body to explode if the weapon was that strong. The spirit then takes another body, conveniently supplied by its employers.

They say you've got to get ahead in life to succeed.
Therefore, you have to get a head in life to succeed.

But what if you already had all the lives you needed, and your successes were already written out through battle victories?
Then you cut out the middleman, and remove the head since every mercenary is already a success, some might even be too successful, but none unsuccessful enough to need to get a head in life to succeed.

Or you know, they all have holes in their heads that are large enough for rockets to miss through

Could it be, the devs wanted to troll any new player that overly enjoys sniper simply for the single headshot kill from improbable angles or spinning their gun around like a Tasmanian devil only to get a hitmarker? Maybe because the devs didn't want to create hitboxes for each limb, or was it simply lazyness and settling for equal damage from all directions with a single rectangle that fit all nine classes?

"See, you all don't take damage to the head. You have all lost that ability when you started getting upset. Researchers at the University of Dirtbowl have discovered that you only take 0.1% of a bullet's/explosive's force if it's taken to the head. Subjects in group A were asked to think of self-less thoughts I.E. donating to charity, etc. While group B were asked to think of selfish thoughts I.E. demanding bathroom breaks. Subjects were then shot with a Scattergun, and then with a Rocket. Group A lost an average of 0.1006% of their health, while group B lost upwards of 60% of their health. Even more health was lost when shot by a Sniper Rifle. In conclusion my dear workers, you are your own head protection. Just imagine you giving all that you can to Bann Mercantile Group. Thank you."

Heads are the important body part to the fascinating creatures called SIMS! mercenaries. The Game Gods of all righteous power and 360 quick scopes and Combo Moves button mashing who were in the process of creating what we know Gang Butt Pickers Garrison 2 one of the best games Faucet has made so far. In the process of making the hit boxes of spiciness for the Gang garrison 2 The Fairies of Poop Scoop Icecream who have teamed up with Sale to end the process of having head hit boxes. The reason Sale and The Faries did this was because It would of been copyright to have the rifleman to headshot overweights THEYRE ARE PART OF THE ILLUMANATI!!! (Having headshots are for try hards only)

randomizer headshots were too op so they decided to punish anyone used to RM hitboxes by removing head hitboxes completely, thus completely throwing off the aim of everyone who played a class that could do headshots in RM

Why thank you, mercenary. As you can see, this is a regular mercenary, with two legs, two arms, and the ability to talk.

But what is it that makes mercenaries work, exactly? What are the mechanics, the secret machinery that makes mercenaries what they are and makes them do what they do?

Let's slaughter our mercenary here, cut it in half, and take a look inside and find out.

Surprise surprise! While the body of a mercenary is made of the same components as a normal human being, it seems that these components are dispatched in a different way. For instance, the brain, located inside the head of a human, is found between the shoulders of a mercenary.

So what is there in the head of a mercenary? It doesn't even have a skull. In fact, the head is basically made of nothing: a hole in their face, one could say.

So why does this useless appendage still exist? What purpose does the head of a mercenary serve? That is a question to be answered another time. Maybe next year.
