I just support the broken passive stabbing because it makes sense to have some forewarning when some conksuck idiot is going to oneshot you and there's few options for avoiding it. That's just my opinion.

this. i really dont think it should be possible for a spy to dropstab at least 1 person without warning on contra just because he was facing the other way

I haven't got stabbed in forever because of the bug which shows a balance problem. Only noobs get stabbed since its predictable to see when you're about to get knifed. Also, hush with the "I'm really self righteous and don't like trick stabbing", everyone wants to get kills and everyone wants to look flashy doing it, especially a guy with three gifs of himself rjing/djing in his sig.

Is there a reason you don't enjoy the things that make spy fun and useful? (Passive invisibility thing also used for revolver so basically both your points are rip)

in my 1 year and 6 months of playing gg2 i have only gotten 4 stabs 2 of these are trickstabs and the rest are just plain jump stabs. I dont enjoy mainly because i suck at timing on stabs (not airshots)

that sounds good in theory but then you realize how OP certain kinds of defensive behavior are in GG2, and how being forced to spycheck or risk sudden death makes them more balanced

  Forewarning makes the stealth class imbalanced. Stabs are 90% of the time, purely based on another player's reaction time, that's why everyone goes mad if you get a stab in competitive or on good players. It's not even fair to the conksuck because backstabbing makes Spy viable to them and defines Spy. If you're building up the time getting behind people, and finding the best approach to stop say a charged Medic, stabbing is more or less throwing a pie at their face. You have their attention, and yes, they are going to kill you.
