Short list of tips on good healthkit placement (please try to follow these so that I can get better data from tests):
- Healthpacks should be few and far apart. GG2 is a very "non-lethal" (low damage) game, so fights get drawn out, and healthkits respawn. Having too many healthkits gives the player with more mobility or better positioning even more of an advantage and draws out the fight for the opposing party.
- Healthpacks should mostly be in places where people retreat to. GG2 and its maps are not designed around fighting over healthpacks. A map where it makes sense to fight over healthpacks would have to be designed around healthpacks by someone who understands gg2's gameplay and combat.
- Don't put healthpacks on routes which are designed for running the intel. This is a really great way to make defenders HATE healthpacks.
- Highground actually tends to be bad to place healthpacks because it encourages people to pussyfoot and slow down combat.
