Wiggles: I'm ready if you are Arc.

Arc: Anyways, I'm ready when ya'll are.

B.illy S.O.D.: OKAY!! Let's start then!! First off, introduce yourselves to the community. We'll start off with Wiggles.

Wiggles: Hey guys, I'm the infamous Wigglytuff. I have a reputation to not show for events.

Arc: Yes he does.

B.illy S.O.D.: What about you Arceus?

Arc: Sometimes I wish you people would stop calling me that. Anyways, Arceus here (although I go by Arc), from the extinct WG. Been playing GG2 for...longer than I can remember....I don't know what else to add there.

B.illy S.O.D.: Lawl, continuing the protocol: For each of you, what is your favorite thing about gg2?

Wiggles: I love how its really simple to learn, but it takes a lot of skill to play well.

Arc: I'm gonna go with...the insanity and tactics ya can find in each game. It's rather entertaining when a spy falls from the sky and stabs you in the face.

Wiggles: Plus bubbles make the game.

Arc: Agreed.

B.illy S.O.D.:  Outlawing chat in favor of bubbles???

Arc: Sounds like a good idea to me.

Wiggles: Um. . . chat has its uses, but imo gg2 was a lot more casual and funny back in the day when it didnt have chat.

B.illy S.O.D.: More casual and funny, that's interesting, considering most people say the exact opposite lol. BUT MOVING ON!! What was your first encounter with each other?

Arc: . . . Is it bad that my memory doesn't go back that far?

Wiggles: I remember.

B.illy S.O.D.: Wiggles saving you Arc.

Wiggles: It must have been two or three years ago. I was hosting my randomizer server, and I had no idea how the chat worked, so Arc helped me out via namechat how to turn on randomizer chat.

B.illy S.O.D.: So it turns out that Arceus saved Wiggles first :V

Arc: Yep.

B.illy S.O.D.: That jog any of your memory Arc?

Arc: When it comes to remembering where I met people, it's all rather foggy almost every time....although I DO remember helping people out that way.

B.illy S.O.D.: Didn't everybody? It was the only way Anyhoo, now that we have the first encounter, how exactly was [WG] born? (or should I say [ABG]?)

Wiggles: You dug that up. Wow.

B.illy S.O.D.: I actually knew you guys as [ABG] before you guys went [WG]. . . that was when I played randomizer and lurked :V

Wiggles: Anyway, --

Arc: That I think I remember slightly....

Wiggles: Yeah it was um . . . ctf_waterway . . .

Arc:  You remember the map even?

Wiggles: Yeah.

Arc:  ........curse my poor memory.....

B.illy S.O.D.: Wiggles ain't an old man Arceus.

Arc: Where does that leave me then?!

Wiggles: An old man.

Arc: ....

Wiggles: ANYWAY, me and Arc were playing with three other guys. There was . . . Real . . . um . . .sorry. . .

B.illy S.O.D.: Well, we know that it started with a 5 man team consisting of real, wiggles, Arc, and some other people.

Wiggles: Ah! That's right! There was findanotherone . . . or findanother1. I dont remember his ign.

Arc: It was Findanother1.

Wiggles: :U . . . and xie rules I think.

B.illy S.O.D.: O wow, haven't heard about xie in a while.

Arc: Well, if I remember correctly, we all got to talking on forming a clan somehow or another. Thus [ABG] was born.

Wiggles:  Yeah.

Arc: If ya want the short version.

B.illy S.O.D.: Why was it named [ABG] (Aim Before Game) anyway? What does that even mean?

Arc: Ya wanna take that one Wiggs? It was your idea I believe.

Wiggles: Yeah it was. This is kind of embarassing. . . I remember when I was a little kid, I would play Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. And there was this one minigame called "Krackity Hack," where you would build up power and then try to smash rocks. . . iunno. Anyway, there were two phases to the game: "building up power" and "aiming at the rock." And since aim was so important in the game, I thought of this rhyme: "Who needs game when you've got aim?"

B.illy S.O.D.: Aaaaaah, so you went from one pink puffball to the next

Wiggles: Yup

B.illy S.O.D.: Now after all those years in [WG], what was your favorite part or defining moment from leading/being in [WG]?

Wiggles: Our defining moment. . . that was beating that [nig] team in the 2012 Winter Tourney. Ofc that was quickly assembled in IRC I assume. Oh wait no, It wasn't [nig], they were subbing in for Stampy's team.

B.illy S.O.D.: Lawl stampy XD #USJPJ

Wiggles: Yeah, that's it.

B.illy S.O.D.: What about you, Arc? And please don't tell me you don't remember.

Arc: It's a tie from having [WG] being a degree of motivation to stay around GG2 for so long (I would've quit a year earlier otherwise), or the fact that I'd spend 30 minutes of each war sitting in the IRC wondering where the heck everyone was.

B.illy S.O.D.: LAWL, that kinda ties in with my next question: How do you think members can better help their leaders? (E.G. COLEADING)

Arc: Well, for one, actually show up to scheduled events. I remember catching a [WG] member playing TF2 during a war before.

B.illy S.O.D.: Totally not Storm_Surge.

Arc: Of course not~

Wiggles: What Arc said I guess, but also to try and improve your skills. That means reading guides and practicing often, just keeping your skills sharp so you can do well in wars, and offering suggestions to improve the clan.

B.illy S.O.D.: As for improving the clan, was there anything that you guys never did with [WG] that you wish you had done?

Wiggles: Show up for more wars :U

Arc: After seeing how you would handle ^DOS^,  it made me realize we probably should've pushed events A LOT more instead of just saying "Oh, by the way, theres a war Sunday."

B.illy S.O.D.: Yea, shouting at people twice a week really helps with their memory. PROVEN FACT. Anything else you would add that maybe would help newer clans?

Wiggles:
 -Show for wars.
 -Don't start your clan immediately, that gives you a bad image.
 -Post on the forums and play with other forumers in game to show them how good you are.
 -Be dedicated to your clan.

Arc: Well, I'd say make sure you have a base of players before ya actually start up. It helps you actually get things running, and you don't have to worry about whether your clan will be dead by next week as much.

Wiggles: That too.

B.illy S.O.D.: Yea, that really helps, having a base of players. On an entirely different tangent tho: Pokemon X or Y. Which is better? And don't tell me you pokefreaks don't play it.

Arc: Of course I do. and own both, for that matter.... I say they are both decent. It's just minor differences after all.

B.illy S.O.D.: Arceus is like, "I created them both, I love both my children!!"

Arc: Very funny.

Wiggles: X

B.illy S.O.D.: Tell him why X is better wiggles.

Wiggles: Iunno. Feminism. Because it's the one I own. IDK.

B.illy S.O.D.: YEA!! CHECKMATE!! Anyways, since you guys worked together (and to wrap the normal questions up to boot), Imma start a little word association game.  Once I say the word, just tell me the first thing that comes to your mind. LET US SEE UR SYNERGY!!

Wiggles: Aight.

Arc: Oh fun.

B.illy S.O.D.: KK. First one get ready. . . "game"

Wiggles: Aim.

Arc: Honestly, my first was game. I know that defeats the purpose, but meh. Shows how varied my mind is...

B.illy S.O.D.: One track . . . one track. Second one. . . "CHEESE"

Arc: Cake? I dunno.

Wiggles: Apples.

Arc: Ok then.

B.illy S.O.D.: Cheese-apples. I guess if you mention food to Wiggles, he just goes, "Apples!!"

Arc: Why not perfect apples there, Wiggs?

Wiggles: Perfect apples isn't a word.

Arc: Still. You're Wiggs!

B.illy S.O.D.: So far similarities 0 for 2. Third one. . . "PURPLE!!"

Wiggles: Pink.

Arc: Pink? Huh.

B.illy S.O.D.: WOOOOOAAAAH!! 1 for 3!! 2 more. . . here we go. . . "YOOMTAH!"

Wiggles: Me.

Arc: ...I'm drawing a blank here.

Wiggles: Yeah, same.

B.illy S.O.D.: So we'll call that 1.5 for 4. And finally. . . "ICY"

Arc: Troll.

Wiggles: Change.

B.illy S.O.D.: LAWL, but that's 1.5 for 5. Synergy isn't quite as I would suppose it would be. . . ANYYWAAYYYS, now that we're done with the normal questions, Imma fire as many community ones I can.

First from Intel: "favorite musicians/groups?"

Wiggles: I like progressive rock.

B.illy S.O.D.: Such as?

Wiggles: Elp, King Crimson, Yes, Rush, and Jethro Tull.

B.illy S.O.D.: Arceus??? Any musics???

Arc: I really have no preferences.....except no dubstep/modern style stuff for the most part. that stuff kills my brain cells.

B.illy S.O.D.: A mix of Russian-country ballads confirmed.

Wiggles: Also anything with a good tune and some multi-layering. No pop music.

B.illy S.O.D.: Next from Intel, "Is it worse to fail at something or never attempt it in the first place?"

Wiggles: Never attempt it, for sure.

Arc: Failing is learning. if you never attempt, you never learn.

Wiggles: ^^

B.illy S.O.D.: "Do we have a soul?:

Wiggles: What. We have many.

B.illy S.O.D.: Well, Arceus? DO WE HAVE A SOUL???

Arc: I don't know, but I do sometimes think Steve is soulless.

B.illy S.O.D.: Amen. That is so true. Anyhow, to end off them soul searchin questions from Intel, "Can you really experience anything objectively?"

Arc: Probably not, but ya can sure try I suppose.

Wiggles: It depends. If it's something you could care less about, sure. But if otherwise no.

B.illy S.O.D.: Now we have  a set of three from Prime.

Wiggles: Oh no.

B.illy S.O.D.: This is for wiggles

Arc: Oh good, I'm free from this one.

B.illy S.O.D.: Don't worry Arc, he has one for you too "Now that you can host, are you willing to 1v1 me? (spoiler: I'll break your ankles)"

Wiggles: I can't host regularly.

B.illy S.O.D.: Wait, does a wigglytuff. . . even have ankles?

Wiggles: No, just feet and glutes.

Arc: I've pretty much quit hosting, so probably never . . . or whenever I feel like truly returning to GG2 gameplay. Whichever comes first.

Arc: Meh, if ya catch me when I've recently been on a trip to East Texas, I might start soundin' like the engineer....I swear, it's scary how that place brings out a Texan accent.

B.illy S.O.D.: I don't think I've caught you on a trip to Texas nor has anybody. . . but the engineer 0.0 my mind is forever altered. AAAAND that's it!! Any last words from both of you?

Arc: Nope.

B.illy S.O.D.: Alright!! LET'S GET STARTED THEN!!

Compushwa: Righto!

B.illy S.O.D.: First off, introduce yourself to the community.

Compushwa: Hello, I am the shwa. I used to be mod of clans until I got bored and quit. Now I lurk and never actually play gg2. 0^:

B.illy S.O.D.: Where did you actually get your "shwa" name from? Did it just go with your cat avatar?

Compushwa: Oh geez, uh . . . I've been using this name for a while actually. First time I used it was on Gamefaqs, which I still use it on. It was just a weird way my friend called a computer one time, and I decided to use it as my internet handle. . . I should change back to my cat avatar actually, that shit's awesome.

B.illy S.O.D.: Huuuh now I wanna call my comp a compushwa But moving on, what was your favorite thing about gg2 when you actually still played?

Compushwa: When I still played gg2, I had a shit computer. Like 1 gb ram, 70 gb hard drive, in short fuckin' terrible, but gg2 could run on it. I always wanted to play tf2, but I couldn't on that shit machine so i settled with gg2, and had a whole lot of fun with it. Now I got a decent laptop that can actually run games so I play those instead.

B.illy S.O.D.: So your favorite thing was that it was filler for other games. . .

Compushwa: I guess so. . . easy to pick up too if I was bored and wanted to waste 20 minutes. I could just start it up and have a go. . . then again on my shit computer it was maybe 15 minutes of play time/5 minutes of waiting for the damn thing to load.

B.illy S.O.D.: Lawl.

Compushwa: I have no fucking clue how it managed to record things too :I

B.illy S.O.D.: :O Well that finishes up all the introductory questions, so let's get onto the meat of the interview: What kept [SOS] going successfully for 600 pages?

Compushwa: Ajf shitposting and me bumping the topic with dumb videos I found. Well not shitposting really, more like wanting to hang out with some weeaboos because why the fuck not.

B.illy S.O.D.: So would you say [SOS] was more of a chatroom than a competitive group?

Compushwa: Hmm . . . I originally started it up with ench as a competitive gg2 clan, but it eventually evolved into a chat room I guess. I got all the clan members on skype, and we're all in a skype group talking to each other erry day, that kinda stuff.

B.illy S.O.D.: Mentioning Enchilada, who was more influential to the success of [SOS]? You or Enchilada?

Compushwa: Me. I definitely cared a lot more than ench did. I set up all the clan wars and shit, made banners (that were absolutely fucking terrible until Waterfall came along and fixed that up), and made the member things (which Waterfall also helped with).

B.illy S.O.D.: Way to throw Enchilada under the bus But speaking seriously, how did each of you help each other carry [SOS]?

Compushwa: Hmm . . . I guess it's just that most every war ench showed up. Dunno if that means we were both no lifes that had nothing better to do, or that he just cared about the wars and stuff. Talking every day on skype with each other helped a lot too. Just shootin' the shit about anything was great . . . still is.

B.illy S.O.D.: That's nice :3 Fast forwarding though, how did you know that it was time for [SOS] to die?

Compushwa: When most of the more influential members stopped caring about the game. Later on our war line-up was me, ench, waterfall, tb, pyrofag, and dsky. Pretty much all of us got tired of playing competivitely, and so I decided it was time to end it.  Well more like waterfall was the mod at the time and was like, "Hey does anybody still care? No? Okay, to dead clans it goes."

B.illy S.O.D.: :C Though now that you're done leading [SOS], care to divulge some super secret [SOS] strats???

Compushwa: There weren't really any strats in gg2. It isn't THAT deep of a game . . . at least, to us it wasn't. For all i know there could be some people out there with fuckin' spreadsheets and shit, pinpointing the best possible strategy for each map and stuff. I guess our one and only strat was everyone protect, comp rush intel. Won us some silly games, man.

B.illy S.O.D.: Was there any clan back then that you respected or looked up to?

Compushwa: INS definitely. Never did get to face 'em. . . however it was cool to face the top 3 from the summer tourney that whisky hosted. Beating [GS] and [PHS] felt pretty nice, even though they were different line-ups.

B.illy S.O.D.: Just a question, but did that tourney actually complete?

Compushwa: Yup. [NI] vs [PHS] finale.

B.illy S.O.D.: That's good to know. . . golden dayssss.

Compushwa: My fav tourney i participated in.

B.illy S.O.D.: Well shifting gears from clan leader to moderator, what is something worse now, and what is something better now?

Compushwa: Y'all got fancy fuckin' OPs for the rules and shit now man. I just slapped the banners down with links to the OPs of clans. For things being worse, I haven't noticed much competitive stuff going on in clans, but that's probably just because I don't actively look for it for all I know there could be clan wars often.

B.illy S.O.D.: To allay your fears, there aren't >.> Anyhoo, as clan moderator back then, what do you feel was the best contribution that you integrated into the clans section?

Compushwa: I thought the competitive leader board thing we had was pretty neat. Although short lived, I thought it was pretty cool. A lot of the stuff I integrated is gone now, which I'm fine with. Honestly, I think me and rby just expected a more competitive nature from clans that just wasn't happening.

B.illy S.O.D.: I'm kind of new, so what exactly was the competitive leader board (do you have a link?)

Compushwa: I think shit's long gone now. Give me a sec, gonna check dead clans.

B.illy S.O.D.: Sure.

Compushwa: Oh well, it was just a way to compare your e-peen to other clans to see who was da bes.

B.illy S.O.D.: Mentioning RBY and trog tho, who is another clan mod that you felt was gr8 and effective and why?

Compushwa: When intel guard isn't being parental'd or being a huge cunt, he did some neat tournies. Dunno how many he went through with, but it was still cool to see.

B.illy S.O.D.: Definitely. Now that you're done with moderating and clan leading tho, what do you feel is your role now in the forums?

Compushwa: Nothing. All I do is lurk. If there was a tourney going on and people requested me to record though, I'd do it. Other then that, I am lurker dan.

B.illy S.O.D.: How does it feel to be the dead clans mod in comparison with the clans mod?

Compushwa: I get to post in locked topics that only i can post in. Literally the best feeling in the world unless for some reason an admin or global mod decides to come ruining my fun.

B.illy S.O.D.: Any reason why??

Compushwa: Like the characters and like the dialogue. What the mc says isn't always consistent, but he says some interesting stuff.

B.illy S.O.D.: Alright. But here's the most important question: WHO IS UR WAIFU?

Compushwa: Saika best girl, but honestly uh. . . I have no idea. I don't give much thought to this waifu business.

B.illy S.O.D.: Compu: I PICK HAREM!!

Compushwa: I'd be the worst harem anime mc. Trying to think of one but man I dunno . . . wait man . . . I  got an answer . . .  sort of . . . kind of . . . probably . . . actually man, I can't decide between these two: Chihaya or Makoto from Idolmaster both are great . . . ANYWAYS, DONE WITH THAT QUESTION!!

B.illy S.O.D.: LAWL  XD Moving onto the community questions, here's some from Intel: " Seeing as having a runner backcapping was one of the main reasons [SOS] rolled face, how integral would you say the jello/backcap runner is to competitive play, has its role changed over time, and why is it so effective in comp?"

Compushwa: Man, it's been forever since I've actually played gg2. When I still played, intel rushing was pretty integral if you had a great runner with alright teammates. He could carry hardcore and win games. Why that works in comp though. . . uhhh fuck I dunno, shit's stupid easy to do. Be non-confrontational with the other team and just go for the intel. usually it ends up as a 1v1 between two runners. Man trying to think too much about this just feels silly. It's just that it's stupid effective and will, i think, always be the most dominant strategy in ctf.

B.illy S.O.D.: As for the second one from intel: "Did you consider yourself to be the best clan back during the heydays of gs, phs, ni, tic, etc.?"

Compushwa: No. Top 3 maybe, the best, naw.

B.illy S.O.D.: Who was the best in your opinion then?

Compushwa: INS.

B.illy S.O.D.: Figures >.> And here's a second and final question from wiggles: "What did you think of [abg] when I first applied for it to be accepted into the clans section?"

Compushwa: Jesus, what? I gotta look back at my pm's.  To be honest, I don't remember anything about people who pm'd me about clan applications. I'm pretty sure I gave the dude my thoughts when he first pm'd me though. Lemme find it. Shit, how long ago was this?

B.illy S.O.D.: I don't know :V 2012 probably.

Compushwa: Found it.

B.illy S.O.D.: Wow.

Compushwa: It wasn't even called that when he submitted it. "Randomizer Clan" was what it was called.

B.illy S.O.D.: Any thoughts?

Compushwa: I forgot what my thoughts back then were, but I'm with that. Randomizer is pretty popular now, isn't it?

B.illy S.O.D.: It's dead now :V

Compushwa: Oh noes. Anyhoo, I think I was fine with it? Back then we had more strict shit like having to do wars, which looking back on, was a silly rule I think. I at first had a problem with it because of that rule, but I think we changed the rule or some shit like that.

B.illy S.O.D.: That always works. But yeaaaaaa that's enough time spent on [WG]. Any last words before we wrap up?

Compushwa: No. Yes. Actually . . . nah.
