This plugin replaces the Bubbler and Blade with the Spur for Quote and Curly. It is pretty close to the Spur from Cave Story, except it can be fired in 360 degrees and the timing is slightly off.
Please note that this plugin makes Quote and Curly
HORRIBLY OVERPOWERED and I know this.
To use this plugin, add
quote_spur to your ServerPluginsList variable in gg2.ini.
Alternatively, you can
download it here. And place the zip in your ServerPluginsDebug folder.
Features:
The most recent version has in it a set of codes for
Golden Spurs. These
Golden Spurs shoot rainbow colored beams and if you are a holder of one, the server sends out a notification when you join. If you want a preview, you'll just have to find someone who has one in the game.
On the
17th of August, I will be drawing
5 numbers. Everyone who has posted in this thread after the 6th will be entered into a raffle and will have a chance at winning a
Golden Spur.
-Tapping mouse 1 results in a single shot which does 8 damage.
-Holding mouse 1 results in a long, piercing beam shot which does between 3 and 10 damage per step while it is colliding with an object. This shot will, over its entire trip through a body, do about 37 damage when charged to level 1, 62 when charged to level 2, and 144 when charged to level 3.
In addition, I added some of the effects from my QuoteCosmetics plugin.
-Q/C essplodes into puffs of smoke and goes PEEEEWWWWW
-A damage indicator only for use by Q/C that is meant to mimick the one from Cave Story
-Cave Story hurtydoodles (those red things) and sound effects when enemies and enemy structures are struck.
-Cave Story sound effects when damageable entities are hit

Thanks to Zaspai, Hanako, and Cabalier for initial stability testing, Derpduck for having a copy of some old stuff for me to reference, and the CobaltBW whose work was the inspiration for this.
Chances are, there's still things that need to be fixed. So if you find any glaring issues (or discrepancies between 30 and 60fps play), I would really love it if you could post them here.
