[Client-Side] Notice Icons

Notice Icons
This plugin simply adds more icons to the notices, such as spectator and autogun.

Affected notifications:
  • "Not enough Nuts 'N Bolts to build!"
  • "Cannot build this close to another building!"
  • "Autogun scrapped"
  • "Player tracking enabled!"
  • "Player tracking disabled!!"
  • Team unbalanced
  • Team balanced





New: Now compatible with cinematic spectator!

Many thanks and credits to Saniblues for pretty much redoing what I just did. (Except the code) :c1:

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. execute_strings on fire off the shoulder of Overmars. I watched object-beams glitter in the dark near the room_goto_fix. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears...in...rain. Time to die.

The spectator ones appear to glitch up, cause the game to fail at drawing a sprite that doesn't exist, and crash the game.

My only beef is the fact that the notification bar and the text are monochromatic, while the icons are colored.

I could totally dig some black and white icons, I think I'll make some later.

Ratman's Playertracking Camera, with and without an Enabled/Disabled border
My Playertracking Camera
Team Imbalance and Balance, respectively (WHICH APPARENTLY DOESN'T USE THE REGULAR NOTIFICATION SYSTEM)
Sentries, with and without the disabled icon
Nuts, for when you're lacking


Hope you don't mind, I'm cheating a little bit by making it a little bit bigger. The small work area is absolutely dreadful, I just couldn't manage while working within that tiny margin.

general notification looks fine
I prefer your playertracking camera to raterm8s, and I like your first ones more than your second ones (so the ones with the "white" film reels on top instead of the "black" ones)
Team imbalance and balance is conceptually cool and I like it
autogun is fine
I don't like nuts and bolts as much because just by looking at that image I can't really tell that the image refers to nuts and bolts, whereas for every other image I know what it is by looking at it
I don't really know how to change it though
like I said before this project is really neat and should be implemented :c1:

Also, a note: The Nuts&Bolts icon in the screenshot is different than the one in the image ( ). I just didn't feel the need to fix it, the one in the screenshot is one pixel too low.

Update: Now compatible with GG 2.9. The plugin is now works with my cinematic spectate plugin, and thus shows respective icons for when the cinematic mode is activated or deactivated. I also cleaned up a bunch of code and removed a few obsolete icons.

edit: it took me almost 4 years to respond to what saniblues said in the post above. i also fixed that too.
