Just with regards to dead bodies, do the corpses still spawn or does the dead body animation play and then end on final frame?
the corpse spawns, does the animation (if there is one), freezes on the final frame and then fades out like a normal static deadbody
gifs don't store colorspace information the same way as PNGs. The formats aren't entirely compatible.
Don't see what that has to do with this, honestly. Mostly I'm confused because lorgan's got his two taunts:

Which don't appear to have any colorspace issues.
But mine do:

I'll ask raivo when I get back from school (but the ones you already submitted can't be fixed, clients don't redownload sprites they already have)
Well fuck that I'm deleting them on my end so that they redownload properly when I do fix them

UnFREEz is the best GIF maker out there. It's lightweight and it reads directly from files, so you can run something straight from paint.net to it without any discoloration.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. execute_strings on fire off the shoulder of Overmars. I watched object-beams glitter in the dark near the room_goto_fix. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears...in...rain. Time to die.

Dying in an environmental death will make a gift for the opposing team to spawn.
...In your spawn, making it (usually) unreachable for the enemy team.
Also, this gift will spawn even if the opposing team has no players and the only spectator is the host.

Make it not spawn a gift when you die of environmental death and add in a minimal playercount for gifts to spawn (3 players should be okay: 1 player on both teams and a host).

my new theory is that it's because of players that aren't logged in. I also think I figured out why the gifts didn't work. I'll try getting an update ready when ajf comes online.

Also I take it that the current droprate was too high? (just the gift spawn rate i mean).

Also also Raivo said he changes the values in the color palette if it messed up.
Maybe starting with a gif file and then making the item may also work?

Yeah, before you changed the droprate is was kinda low but now it's too high.
