you figure out a way to even THEORETICALLY implement "delta time" in ANY kind of game engine without infecting every piece of code that runs according to the passage of time.

Prevent side-effects in Draw calls, run at 30fps, interpolate values when drawing :3

2) not actually delta time, i.e., doesn't fix game performance when running at under 30fps.

Ehhh, it's close enough

Most of the work is done, I'll just be making the options menus and sharing screenshots of the progress over the next few days.
Also does anyone know the maximum number of menu options I can fit on the vanilla options menu without moving it up?

You could make it do the shifting with the mouse thing that it does in widescreen?

(or make sub-menus)

EDIT: By the way, I'm serious about using GML for commands. Please do that. You could add some shortcuts to make typing quicker, though. (like making "#dothing '1', 2" be DSM_dothing('1', 2) or something)

I still need to test some more, but DSM is pretty much done for the first release. No guarantee that it will support 60fps and widescreen, though.
