I've entered a mod every year (I think) and I'm not going to stop now.

This doesn't force you to restart or quit when you leave a server that is using server plugins. Instead it remembers all of the plugins you have downloaded, then when you try to join another server it will show your plugins and the plugins the server has, and allow you to choose between continuing at your own risk, restarting or quitting.

I suppose that the chatWindow stays open after you disconnected from the server...
I'll fix it in my chat/console version i'm working on but it's gonna take a while before i can release that (if i release it at all).

You could destroy chatWindow after disconnecting from the server yourself (if chat is loaded)

I tried that, I removed it from the mod though because it does nothing.

Ok, so that worked. I'll upload now.   I don't know why I didn't do that before, I just wasn't thinking properly.

I'm kind of scared this will break shit horribly because the only cleanup whatsoever for plugins is done by restarting

It doesn't cause any problems, it just relies on the user deciding that problems may be caused by having the wrong plugins.
