I'm sorry, but I don't think it can qualify as pixel art, really, more like "digital drawing" if anything.
Nor is it even a gg2-related image, considering it's a direct copy of a tf2 art with all the details etc.
And the tf2 spy quote...

Sorry, I never wanted to disqualify anyone, but well, we have to stick to the "gg2 isn't tf2" rule.
There still is a week left, so feel free to modify/fix/change your entry in any way you want, or even create a completely new one, but the way it is right now, I couldn't let people vote for this in any category.

This kind of "digital drawing" is still pixel art. Just because it's at a high resolution with less attention to per-pixel detail, doesn't mean it's "less pixel art". That would imply that excessively low resolution is a good thing, which it's not. The real problem is that it's been downscaled and jpeg-ed, hard.

Your other points are still fair, though.

Yeah, I thought someone would point it out, but I always thought pixel art to be something you actually draw pixel by pixel, at least in some parts.
Though to be fair, the face does look a little too detailed to have been done using shape tools and fill bucket. But still, that's not really the issue here.

And yeah, save and upload it as png next time.

I can't hate on this because I still draw bodies much worse than this. It still looks a bit too realistic but a definite improvement.
