criticism (all kinds) is welcome but may be ignored (depending on my laziness)
by the way in case people ask the only stuff I stole was props like crates/medcabs etc. and colours.

Major issues:
Everyone but pyro and q/c gets stuck on the stairway pinch points, heavy can't get through at all.
Single jump classes can't jump up the second flight of stairs to spawn

Medium issues:
There's only one path to the point, and its flat and spammable even with cover.
Extremely hard to retake point because defenders have to go uphill all the way. Lots of open places for snipers and sentries to camp.
The movebox ladder is pretty disruptive and unrealistic, should not be the main feature of mid as it's awkward as fuck for combat.

Minor issues:
Multiple crates in a row are awkward and tiring to wade through.
The boxy things close to mid are hard to see as solid.
Reconsider color choice, trees are too faded. Obstacles blend in slightly. Also, the empty space around mid shouldn't go straight from foreground to the mountains.

4/10, sorta kinda playable. Not bad for a first map.
If you want to make a really good map, however, I would suggest getting criticism on a wallmask before doing art so you can make the necessary changes with less effort.

Green: make a path here, with cover
Red: Make windows bigger, so they are easily passable
Orange: Again, cover
Blue: Make these shorter so attackers can attack more easily
Yellow: Move ladders to the sides, make a hole in the middle to jump back down.

no the cover is fine just adjust the platform so its similar to nova's suggested edit (green only)

make the platform so 1) it curves a bit, down or up, and 2) requires a jump to get onto the platform from the spawn building so people have a quick route down to the lower level.

You should typically have a medicab if not spawnroom accessible, see dkoth_atalia (which is bad anyway because you can't change class from the ground without dying).
Definitely don't make it accessible to only scout and explosive classes :drool:
Right now the flat upper path cuts out the entire lower path for heavy and people who get stuck, and makes the lower path useless anyway.
Do the upper path the way nova suggested, including the holes to fall to the lower path.
