Orpheon was just referring to the storm that usually attacks anything with hats in it. The feature requests board most notably suffers from this...
it was sarcasm... anyways i disagree with hats myself not because "fuck you etc. the game doesn't need em" but because imho they would look shit in a low-res highly pixellated form
literally, they would be like 3x3px

We need to find a cosmetic thing that won't cause players to gain any advantages or disadvantages whilst also being worth it (I.e. something actually changed).

All I can think of is alternate class sprites, robots perhaps. heh

A Strange weapon in TF2 tracks kills or certain other stats (Only if you use a Strange Part on it). It's name will change according to how many kills the weapon has gained and it will announce to the server when it 'ranks up'.

But if, in the case of stranges, we had a strange weapon for each class, and we only had a certain amount of that weapon, say 18-36 and when you had the whole set of weapons (all of your weapons strange) something magical would happen. Also before you ask i don't think we should have strange blade for q/c.

I'm sure I got Wareya to add this stuff along with whatever else wasn't already gold like rockets, stickies and needles. I guess the querly stuff wouldn't be seen considering that no one could choose it as their haxxy reward last year.
