Why though? It was a very interesting map that made for few back caps and a focus on the push. It also opened up most of the classes as viable. Even old Q/C and Infiltrator.

Maps just too big, its solid balance wise sans spinjump, but theres so much grond to cover and very stalematey. It works with larger playercounts.

Is the meta now not just ctf maps? Cause back when we played, that's all it was exclusively.
some of the best maps in the game imo:
arena_contra
arena_montane
koth_harvest
cp_barrel
cp_kistra (although it's easy to backcap on it)
ctf_noir
ctf_conflict
ctf_zvector_v2
dkoth_atalia (some people dislike it, it's good in low player counts imo. I like it)


also orange is disliked because of how big it is and nowadays we can't get more than 4v4 going most of the time
also soldiers and demos have a field day because they can just use the upper bridge to jello the intel

If soldiers get involved in backcaping, they're abandoning the push to heavy/medic with scout help. Not the wisest.

Heavy is so strong now soldiers can abandon the push for a backcap with little repercussions. Its just a matter of thinking outside the box a little and offering up the heavymedic as bait.

@ Intel: And yeh, I figured things have changed. I'll miss the 6v6 format because it created a standard while leaving space for creativity (4v4 honestly looks like runner/rocket/heavy/medic is the standard with little reason for variation unless you need an engie).

@B.illy: Yeh, I'd be down for that if everyone's up for it then.

Skype chat is still around but it's rarely used. I figure with us playing more, it might be more of a thing.
