My suggestion is that like tf2, the voting happens when the map is still being played. The directional bubbles are not that commonly used and it shouldn't affect gameplay too much. Also, it might run a bit smoother as in transitioning time.
- :c2: :c3: :c5: :c4: is still being used by some players
-players won't have time to vote while in battle, the respawn time might be too short to vote too
-a lot of time I misvote in TF2 while switching my weapon (not related I know)
-they don't even pay attention in the voting progress =/ , they just don't bother to look at the pop up message (maybe they will in the future, I don't know)
your idea is good, it's just impractical to put in (atleast it sounds impractical to me)

and speaking of voting bubble, anyone have better idea?  :c2: :c3: :c5: :c4: kinda confusing to me sometimes and  :c1: is too popular to put in
 :x11: :x12: :x13: :x14: maybe?

Why not F1-F4?

Also make it similar to this
-Map 1
-Map 2
-Random map
-Current map again

because this
Why not a non-serversent plugin that sends a message line to players telling them to :z1: through :z5: for various maps (during humiliation), or some similar text & bubble based voting?
Btw, just a suggestion i had floating around my mind, not a criticism of your implementation
It's actually a good idea! I don't even think about it :p
I just want to try and make a server-sent plugin using the PluginPacket thing
I think your idea might be a better one, just freeze players and let them vote through bubble, but I will finish this one first

The directional bubbles are used quite a bit, not by pubs however as they don't use any of the emotes...

I like the idea of using bubbles, but not requiring people to push the smiley key code to send them.

I'd use the plugin to link the one, two, and three keys to each respective bubble instead for more intuitive voting.

I don't think that's possible for a non server-sent plugin

Been getting good reception overall on BTW, as I think you know. I don't have much input to improve it, except OMFG YOUR GODDAMN INDENTATION AND CURLY BRACES AND FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF :headshot:

ohhh, now I understand what you mean when you say indentation and braces
Code: [Select]
if (true) {
                        do {
                                                    a = 1;
                                                    }
                        }
I'm trying to keep the code as neat as possible  :z6: , it doesn't look nice in notepad though (It drives me crazy too, I should have put some spaces between them)
(it look way better in game maker anyway)

So I joined BTW and messed around a bit, people still prefer spawn killing than voting :z8:
and if you can, can you post me the maps record after you finished hosting?

thanks, I need this
EDIT: changed the indent stuff, I didn't know there were certain styles, I just copy people
EDIT2: I'm not native English speaker too so if you find anything "irritating" or wrong just post it

You should format it more like the map_voting messages, so you can see the button and the respective map.
