Ask MedO. But you should probably realise that I already have an effective "backdoor" into most GG2 clients since I run the server-sent plugins repo. So entrusting me with power isn't actually a new thing.

Not much. The fact I'm a forum admin is mostly symbolic since I'm in the gg2editor group on the new server, so it would make no sense for me not to be a forum admin if I have edit access anyway. (You know, since I could make myself an admin, given that power, so you might as well do it.)

Ok everyone, calm down. Admin doesn't mean that ajf is now el presidente of gg2donia, and saying "checks and balances" is just silly. This isn't a democracy, it's a site run by a handful of people for the benefit of the community, and the people who run it (mostly me) get to make the decisions.

Admin is a technical position for fixing and maintaining forum and website. AJF is NOT a global moderator now and he'd better not start running around and doing silly stuff or he'll be stripped of the role really quickly. I trust him not to mess this up though.

Why AJF? Because he's tech savvy and motivated and I'm tired of doing the website administration mostly by myself. Again, this is not a decision I need to justify. I think it's a good decision and I checked back with the other admins and some of the devs first.


Also, server move starting in a few minutes.
