Actually I'm getting this error when trying to run gg2:

(click to show/hide)

I've only changed the path to the file being uploaded:

(click to show/hide)

So, what's wrong?

First it downloads the version number, this is normally just a string of a number (ex. "2"). Then I used the real function to convert it to an actual number, not a string. Because you changed the path and you did stuff wrong/it doesn't work with github, it receives a 404 or just a complete webpage and the real function doesn't work on strings with multiple letters in it.

also try using show_message everywhere so you can figure out these kind of bugs yourself.

Now it's a valid path to the file:

(click to show/hide)

But it receives an empty string and subsequently converts it to "0".
I really don't know how to make it work. May be an access problem?

Hey so "server-side sprite-loading" (more like server-suggested sprite-downloading) would now be possible with server-sent plugins.

did you know that spinning stars work like this???

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. execute_strings on fire off the shoulder of Overmars. I watched object-beams glitter in the dark near the room_goto_fix. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears...in...rain. Time to die.

That sounds great, but right now I'm much more interested in making my plugin updating automatically, mainly because (I am almost sure) clients never get desynchronized with the server having this plugin installed.

But I feel like I really need help from someone familiar with using GitHub.
