ctf doesn't have a fixed time length, it has a fixed time /limit/. dkoth has one too, but only applies when nobody is doing anything. tiscooler's plugin is "perfect" because it makes the application based on caps instead of activity.

Well then a fixed time "limit" is all I've been talking about. Regardless of what anyone does or doesn't do, a fixed time "limit" is what's needed for dkoth.

I think a fixed time limit is okay. I also think it shouldn't be done by making both timers run at the same time. I'd prefer a forced stalemate on the global timer to that. But I think that tiscooler's is the best solution if you want one.

Then have a central timer that ticks down, the key is just a fixed time length for dkoth maps.

That's the system I said I would prefer to making both run down during the stalefight. I also just said it's worse than tiscooler's plugin.

stalemates are even worse than long maps since it means you have to play another map to get a winner

ok i guess sometimes you dont need a winner but
