Drakora Mod
This is my mod idea entry for the Haxxy Awards. The mod is based on a universe that I have created and worked on expanding for quite some time now. I started work on the Mod but there is no chance of me finishing it by the deadline for the Haxxys so I'm submiting it as a mod idea instead. Below is the basic premise of the mod then the character descriptions and short bios. I have tried to spoiler as much stuff as possible to prevent a wall of text though there is a lot of stuff here.
This mod will feature:
- 13 new, unique, classes
- beautiful hi def HUDs
- powerful abilities like teleportation, traps, growing plants and berserk mode
- stats like physical attack and defense
- cool particle effects
-NEW GAME MODE! And the new game mode is the Artifact game mode. Basically it is similar to a KoTH accept instead of controlling a point you must pick up and control an artifact. While holding the artifact special rules apply.
-You cannot be healed accept by the effects of the artifact
-Your health drains
-You cannot move a certain distance away from the artifact's spawn point (to prevent running away from being a plausible strategy)
The artifact will also replace your attack with new ones and all artifacts offer a method to heal yourself to promote high risk-high reward game play. Below are the current artifact ideas.
The Necrok Tome Health drain: -5 hp/second
Souls: Grows as you use Death Insidion, can be used to fire Souless Blasts
M1- Death Storm: Powerful close range attack, you heal 30 hp for every kill you get with this attack
M2- Death Insidion: Use on dead bodies to gain souls
Space- Soulless Blast: Incredibly powerful attack that pierces wall and foes
The 3 Norns Blade Health drain: -5 hp/second
M1- Time Slash: High damage melee attack that inflicts additional damage some time after the initial strike and then even later heals you for 10 hp
M2- Return to Body: use on dead friend's bodies (doesn't work on gibs) to have the respawn at your location, doing this heals you 10 hp
The Everweapon of War Health drain: -10/second
M1- War Melee: High damage melee attack that heals you 15 hp
M2- War Ranged: Medium damage ranged attack that heals you 15 hp
Space- War Incarnation: Turns you into Clash, the personification of war, to improve your damage and healing, also increases your health drain, the change cannot be reversed

Backstory Magic, while powerful, comes with a price. For you see time and space, existence, nonexistence, creation and destruction, collectively known as reality is like a tapestry weaving itself by its nature. Magic will take part of the tapestry out and put a new it in. This “discarded reality” occasionally forms its own meta-worlds, universes created out of what magic changed. If these meta-world become too big they can disrupt reality as we know it and bring about the cataclysm to end all cataclysms. Now in Drakora the final straw has landed on the camel’s back. With the release and recapture of Ragnarok the envoy of destruction, as well as the Shadow Clan releasing the powers of The Heart of Drakora on the world reality has broken and the meta-Drakora is building! The 13 heroes of Drakora; Lore the blade-master, Thatelor the paladin, Syris the ranger, Meralin the druidess, Ged the sorcerer, Fanrir the warrior, Brunos the brawler, Dathid the thief, Bastara the shadow master, Xander the Drakon, Brithalin the archmage, Eulshnack the berserker and Lahk-Mout the shaman have had their worst fears realized. Now, with reality failing the alternate versions of themselves have come forth to fight for their growing reality while the original 13 heroes bravely defend their own reality. The fight will be long, brutal and few will come out unscathed, or even alive.

Bio
Born a farm boy in the Briglum fields his childhood was rather uneventful. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, he picked up the blade at an early age and soon entered the militia. Whether it was some inborn talent or the 5 hours he practiced each day Lore rapidly became an expert swordsman. At the age of 19 he managed to enter the Guild of Warriors becoming the youngest person ever to do so. There he honed his skills and blades to a razor edge then left to find his fortune as an adventurer. In the city of Celticose, just south of Briglum, he fell in with a party of other young adventurers who's roster was comprised of Thatelor, Ged and a young, but capable leader named Mathias. They all grew closer to each other reaching a point of treating each other as brothers. However, on one fatefull day Mathias was killed in a fight despite the rest of the party's best effort to save him. Shaken by this great loss the three young explorers fell out of adventuring and found work in Celticose in Briglum. Still, Lore practiced with his sword, almost obsessively, with the guilt of Mathias' death hanging over him. When the rest of the growing group of the Drakora Heroes came to the Fertile Valley Lore, Ged and Thatelor all joined. Bidding farewell to his parents Lore left his homeland to face the horrors of the world. The faster-than-lightning blades of Lore now cut in aid of the Heroes.
Thatelor Game Abilities and Stats

M1 - Sunder: A massive axe swing for high damage
M2 - Crossbow: A powerfull rongranged attack
Q - Pray: Builds prayer meter as well as healing Thatelor and his allies
Space - Divine Power: Greatly improves Thatelor's runspeed and improves his Physical and Magical Defence, Sunder can now Smite opponents and Crossbow attack fire out numerous bolts of holy energy
Bio
Thatelor was born in a religious family who were part of the Holy Order of The Eye, a group of Paladin's based in the Fetile valley. While Thatelor truly wanted to grow up and become a musician pressure from his family eventually turned him away from his childhood dreams and into the rigorous spiritual and physical training that is the path to becoming a Paladin. After years of hard training Thatelor was finally admited into the Order of the Eye and given ordered to "seek out evil wherever you find it and destroy it". With this open ended comand Thatelor traveled to Celticose where he met Lore, Ged and Mathias. After purchasing a lute the foursome set off on their journey in search of riches, fame and adventure. Thatelor proved to be a powerfull fighter and leader (not to mention a rather proficient lute player) and soon he developed a strong bond with his three companions. Sadly, Mathias was killed in a fierce battle with a Dragon and after scatering his ashes in the wind Thatelor, Ged and Lore disbanded the party. Shattered by the loss Thaetlor, secretly blamed himself for Mathias' death and frequently fasted and whiped himself. When the Drakora Heroes came to the fertile valley Thatelor joined the group in hopes of vanquishing more evil, and redeeming himself from his own guilt. Thatelor now put's his religious and combat skill to work defending his new comrades.

Mana: Basically Nuts and Bolts
Build Menu:Ged can build any of the following Mystic Spheres. He can have a maximum of 2, unique Mystic Spheres out at any one time
1. Turret Sphere: 80 health, 3 health/second autoheal, shoots at enemies in range
2. Healer Sphere: 80 health, 5 health/second autoheal, heals allies in range
3. Shielding Sphere: 200 health, 3 health/second autoheal, creates a forcefield that takes projectiles, attacking the sphere itself inflicts double damage
M1 - Mystic's Arrow: Medium to long range bolt that will split after going a distance
M2 - Magical Assimilation: Absorbs most magical projectiles and converts them into Mana, also can absorb your own Mystic Spheres and convert them into Mana
Q - Open Build Menu
Bio
Ged grew up as an orphan in the city of Celticose. Fortunately for him the rich Selburrow family adopted him. With their patronage behind him Ged perused his dream and inborn talent, sorcery. In his youthful vigor Ged created numerous new spells with his trademark being the various kinds of Mystic Spheres he would create for all sorts of purposes. After some time of honing his talent Ged set out to find his fortune. He began work as a battle mage to assist the local guards but soon found that pure combat was not his path. Innovation and exploration was Ged's passion so joined with a group of budding adventurers. With his new companions, Lore, Thatelor and Mathias, Ged set out to find new knowledge as ways to employ his Mystic Spheres. However, during a fateful duel with a Dragon Mathias was slain. This shook the whole party and they disbanded. Ged created a Mystic Sphere that held one grain of Mathias' ashes and mourned for some time. However when Lore and Thatelor joined the Drakora Heroes Ged, wanting to recreate old bonds. The innovative Ged now summons Mystic Spheres to fortify position, heal team mates and slay enemies.
Fanrir Game Abilities and Stats

Bio
A dedicated follower of the exiled Dragon King Weynak Fanrir has risen through the ranks of Weynak's military and now serves as the general and Weynak's right-hand man. Fanrir had started service when Weynak and Kentour where still working together to bring down the evil that was the Blood Mages. Since Kentour was Corrupted by Reesha, Fanrir has been forced to fight his own kind as the two exiled Dragon siblings fought with each other. Because of this the Drakon general has made a point of trying to find other outlets for his numerous combat abilities. When the Reesha first reappeared after the Mage Wars Fanrir immediately started to assemble a group of adventurers to stop her from domination the mainland. With that initial goal in mind the Drakora Heroes were formed and became a team of 13 great warriors, mages and adventurers who pledged to work together to defend their world from the greatest forces of evil.
Syris Game Abilities and Stat

Bio
Like most all Elves, Syris was born and raised in the land of Elvoda. Syris decided to take the path of a hunter, learning to stalk prey and take them down with bow or knife. Still, animal foes where no match for his markselveship so he enlisted in the local archer squad. His deadeye accuracy became famous throughout Elvoda and his trade mark, a quiver full of unmarked magic arrows, just as famous. He became a good friend of Fanrir when he came to Elvoda in search of new methods for archery. This friendship persisted but it was hard to keep in contact because of Fanrir's constant travels. When Fanrir raised a call to arms in an effort to vanquish Reesha Syris answered to meet up with his old friend and use his powerful, if somewhat random, abilities.
Meralin Game Abilities and Stats

1. Black Cap Moss: covers the ground around Meralin, slows enemy movement

3. Iron Wood Tree: Acts as a barrier and platform with 200 health
M1- Natural Healing: Basically a Medibeam
M2- Toxic Thorns: Short ranged, rapid-fire spell, poisons it's victims
M1 + M2- Nature Synchronization: Basically an Uber
Bio
Meralin, like Bastara, is in fact some 200 years old. This strange fact unfolded when her father, Dalin, and Bastara's father, Krostor where both killed by the same double bladed sword. Each man believed the other of betraying Soelaria and swore an oath that their children would continue the fight. Both men used magic to preserve their Son and Daughter for a vast time, then 200 years later Meralin awoke. She immediately sought answers to the vast gap in her memories using her knowledge of herbs and toxins to probe her mind. When this failed she sought answers in spirituality and became a druidess, growing and building a grove in Elvoda. She joined Fanrir's Drakora Heroes, hoping that this old evil, the Blood Mages might hold some answers. While that avenue was un informative she did meet the person she was fated to fight, Bastara. The two rapidly realizedd the similarities in their empty memories and, ironically, became close friends. When Karklok, the demon warlord who had attacked Soelaria those 200 years ago, revealed what their fathers had intended for them Meralin and Bastara grew apart. Each secretly loves the other, but is shamed by the fact that they were conceived to fight each other in vengeance of their father's death. Meralin now channels nature to defend her world from the forces of evil.

Space- Shadow Realm Teleport: You are teleported to an exact copy of the map, however the background is entirely black, only you are on this copy and you can move around normally, when you teleport back you are on the corresponding place of the actual map
Bio
Bastara was originally born in the old city of Soelaria. It was from his father that he learned the strange art of the shadow master and in his father's memory he has kept training at this reclusive art. Still Bastara has mixed feelings about his father, Krostor who apparently helped Karklok, the demon warlord, to enter Soelaria with his final attack. Once Krostor and Dalin stabbed each other they swore that their son and daughter would continue this fight and take vengeance for what the other did. Bastara was then kept in stasis for some 200 years by his father. Once he woke up Bastara remembered little of his life in Soelaria and sought out a hidden fortress in the Darklands to practice his shadowy art and call home. After "cleaning" a abandoned fortress, ironically one build by the forces of Karklok, of the "vermin" that inhabited it Bastara set to work, scouring the land in search of answers. When the growing group of Drakora Heroes came to his door he attacked and almost killed them. He was subdued however and, because they spared his life he agreed to help them find Reesha. Over the time he was with the Heroes he found solace with another of the Heroes, Meralin a druidess who had similarly patchy memories. When Karklok rose again and revealed the truth about Meralin's and Bastara's past the two grew separate. Bastara secretly admires and love Meralin and would like to become closer to her, though the scars of the past and the truth about his father's action keeps Bastara at a distance. Now the shadows follow Bastaras every whim as he silently and efficiently eliminate the enemies of Drakora.
Brunos Game Abilities and Stats

Fury: Fury builds as Brunos takes hits and taunts, fury improves the power of all of his attacks as well as spent to execute Brunos' more powerful techniques
M1- Martial fist: Basic melee attack with high negative knockback
M2- Special technique: All special techniques use up fury and are affected by the damage ramp up of fury
On ground- Massive Uppercut: Very large AoE attack that launches people into the air, foes take damage when they hit the ground/walls
In air- Snap Kick: Relatively small range but high damage and higher knockback, foes take damage when they hit the ground/wall
In air + down- Skull Breaker: Medium AoE attack that launches people into the ground for high damage
Space- Fury Meditation: Improves fury gained from being hit and Physical Defense for a time
Bio
Brunos was brought up in the town of Tensen where physical prowess and smithing are held in high regard. As such, Brunos took the path of the wrestler, training and working out from a young age. His strength became legend in Tensen and soon Brunos won the Tensen Wrestling Championship, becoming the youngest ever to do so. However this victory was overshadowed by the disappearance of his parents in an Ogre raid. Determined to find them Brunos enlisted in the militia and then, with nothing but iron gauntlets led an attack on the Ogre camp. Driven by fury, Brunos all but single handedly slew the entire Ogre tribe. However he was too late, his parents were dead. In a fit of emotional turmoil and adrenaline Brunos struck out against the other militia members wounding several of them. After several men struggled to restrain him Brunos was brought before the court and was stripped of his title and forbade from the wrestling tournaments. Shamed by his actions Brunos left to study martial arts in a reclusive monestary to learn to control his rage and channel it to his advantage. When he returned from his solitued the Drakora Heroes had come to the Fertile Valley. Wanting to show his strength and test his mettle Brunos joined and put his mighty fists to use, pummeling the Heroes' foes.

1. Bear Trap: Inflicts damage and slows enemy movement
2.Liquid Fire Trap: Explodes with high knockback and afterburn
3.Sleeper Spider Trap: Releases several Sleeper Spiders that inflict small amounts of damage and knockout
Space- Smoke Grenade: Throws a harmless smoke grenade that creates obscuring smoke, the smoke can be seen through by you and your teammates but is opaque to foes
Bio
His father died before he was born and his mother died shortly after Dathid grew to be 6 years old. Without a penny to his name and no one to turn to, Dathid joined a local gang and used his small form, quick wits and light fingers to steal things from stalls, passing travelers and anybody who seemed tired of having such heavy pockets. Growing up with numerous crimes pinned to him Dathid expanded his enterprise to include sneaking into houses and relieving people of their valuables. Despite the city guard's best efforts they could not catch him. Dathid finally was turned in to the officials by his own gang members who where more than eager to claim the reward for his capture. Put in chains Dathid was sentenced to a year in prison with daily beatings. The 10 year old convict escaped his prison and then stowed away on the first barge he found. Jumping off when the time was right Dathid wandered the wilderness for some time, providing for himself by stealing food and supplies from passing travelers and foraging for berries. As time went on he developed a talent for constructing mechanisms and traps as well as deriving poisons from plants. He met the Drakora Heroes when he stole their supplies as they were held in a drug induced sleep. The Heroes caught Dathid and the young thief, after returning the stolen goods and promising to not steal from them again, joined the growing group to seek out the adventures he always dreamed of. The thief boy's light fingers now pick locks and disable traps to aid the Heroes in their various quests.
Eulshnack Game Abilities and Stats

Ferocity: builds as Eulshnack inflicts damage with his bleed effect
M1- Rend: Melee attack that causes victim to bleed and lose health over time
M2- Axe Throw: Short ranged but powerful attack
Space- Ruthless Charge: Runs forward, lightly wounding and bleeding all foes in his path
Q- Berserk: Improves damage, refire, and runpower however greatly reduces Physical and Magical defense, costs Ferocity to use
Bio
Eulshnack was born in the savage lands of Barbaria where survival in a constant challenge. Like all of the "barbarians" that live there Eulshnack was fishing, weaving clothing, chopping firewood and eating semi raw meat from an early age. When he turned 14 he entered a traditional Blood Band, a group of three young men who are tested for their endurance, strength and ingenuity by being sent out into the wilderness with scant resources and ordered to bring back a skull from the trolls that lived in the eastern mountains. The test was, as always, rigorous and several times Eulshnack felt like giving up and simply living his life out as a berry gatherer or some other less dangerous, and thus less prestigious position. When the rest of his Blood Band died in the cold Eulshnack snapped. He forced himself to carry through, screaming against the gales as he soldiered through snow cover forests and across treacherously icy mountain passes. When he finally found his troll quarry he attack without a second thought. It was a massacre. Eulshnack returned with the skull, 10 skulls in fact and dropped them at the Jarl's feet to everyone amazement. Eulshnack was made an honorary Dyrfolk. Still, something feral was alive inside Eulshnack, something he needed to get out. He joined the Drakora Heroes out of a need to channel his raw, animalistic power and prove to the world the strength of the Dyrfolk people. Now Eulshnack's axe cuts down and his survivalist skills provide for the Heroes of Drakora.
Lahk-Mout Game Abilities and Stats

M2- Secondary Ability: Uses one of Lahk-Mout's secondary abilities
1. Soul Stealer: Boomerang that inflicts medium damage and heals Lahk-Mout for 15 health each time it hits a foe, will automatically teleport back to Lahk-Mout's hand when it strikes an obstacle of foe
2. Water Spirit: Fires a massive projectile that puts out afterburn an sends foes flying
3. Bless: Blesses allies near him to grant them autoheal at 2 health/second and improved Physical and Magical Defense for a time
Bio
Lahk-Mout was born as a shaman in the Southern Islands, specifically the Island of Umbor Alta. There Lahk-Mout studied the religious beliefs of his people as well as the various spirits that inhabit nature. Tragedy struck him when numerous undead, under control of a Necromancer, attacked his village. Taking his people's belief that magic should be left to use by the gods and those who channel the power of the gods, Lahk-Mout headed to the mainland to spread his peoples' belief about Arcane magic. When the Heroes came calling for people to help them in their fight against the Blood Mages Lak-Mout joined immediately hoping too found again fight the blasphemous thing that is arcane magic. Now his chants and spirit helpers gaurd and aid the Heroes as the fight evil.
Brithalin Game ABilities and Stats

1. Lunar: Explosive projectile that regenerates Brithalin's ammo on hiting a foe
2. Astral: Rapid-fire, close range attack that slows if's victims down
3. Planar: Bouncing, medium range projectile that drains victim's health to heal Brithalin
4. Stellar: Fires projectiles that stick to wall and inflict afterburn damage
M2- Detonate Stellar Magic
Space- Lunar Wings: Launches Brithalin, you can control the direction with the directional keys
Bio
Brithalin was born in the dark times of the Mage Wars. He had natural talent for magic, but was afraid that if he used it it would drag him, and his family into the war. So he studied the arcane arts in secret, creating an underground group of scolars and mages who wanted nothing to do with any of the Houses of Magic. They Grey Mages, as they came to be known began to secretly organize an expedition into the northern Stormwhite Sea to try to find some remote island they could call home. Forunatly they did find one and after sneaking out from under the noses of the various Houses the now free Grey Mages began to build a school of magic and learning on this island now dubbed the Isle of the Universe. The island became a bastion of learning that would forever keep its doors open to scholars and wizards, hoping to expand their knowledge. Brithalin became a well learned mage and a popular leader though he still yearned for some form of adventure. When Reesha once again rose to power Brithalin joined the Drakora Heroes to tr to prevent another Mage War. Now the ages of magical knowledge inside of Brithalin's head fire spells of awe inspiring power to take down the forces of evil.
Xander Game Abilities and Stats

M1- Drakrockus: Chargeable melee attack, charging speeds up as charge increases and charge goes to back 0 when it fills, charging improves damage and lowers refire time for next attack, if the victim is on fire they will take all of the afterburn instantly plus 50% of the afterburn they had
M2- Draktlare: Chargeable ranged attack, charging speeds up as charge increases and charge goes to back 0 when it fills, charging improves damage and speed of projectile
Space- Incoxasukceer: Meditation that improves speed of charging for both attack, grants 3 health/ second autoheal and improves runspeed for a time, after this time has elapsed runspeed, refire and damage are reduced for some time
Bio
With his blood line so close to that of Draisin's Xander has lived from the time of the Ancient War to modern day. Due to this incredibly long lifespan Xander has been able to study, and master, every art in the Drakomicon the Book of All Dragons. His swrodsdrakonship is legend throughout Drakmor, his smithing rivals that of the disciples of Forgent and almost every aspect of his abilities seems to go above and beyond what should be possible. Still, all this fame, power and glory cannot appease the lose in Xander's heart caused by the Ancient War. Hundreds of thousands of friends and comrades died in the most pointless, and costly war ever fought. With this immense shadow over him Xander harbors depression, post traumatic stress syndrome and a whole slew of other mental impairments. Despite all of this Xander has pushed on, living a peaceful, if not somewhat sad, life in the city of Drakston. However, when word of the Gearlinks trying to bring back Ragnarok reached Xanders ears he snatched up his sword and without another thought rushed into combat with the Drakora Heroes to keep the Gearlinks from their goal. To keeps them from starting another war. Now his unmatchable skill and Draconic powers incinerate the foes of Drakora.
