CP How to
Many players have been asking over and over again about how to do control point. So I am doing this.

If you need more help then this ask

Normal CP
Load the Background and Walkmask of your map
Hit the button label Walkmask Visibility and look for any overlaps that you might need to fix
If everything is in order hit the WM visibility button again and now hit Turn grid on.\
Place spawn doors, you should make them 4 doors/floors think in order to prevent people from placing there guns through the door.

Place Medical Cabinets and spawn locations.

Control point time(Normal)
Hit Control Point 1 and place (if wrong team right click on it), it changes team every couple of times. Now hit Control Point and place them overlapping where you want people to cap. Repeat with other points.
Cp 1 has to be on the dead left and cp 5 at the right because that decides where the capturing icon will be in game

Attack/Defend
Red attacks Blu Always

Setup the spawns, and other such things
Now hit Setup gate and lock the Red teams spawn up now place the cps starting from 1 to 5 where you want and place the Capture zones around them the game should make it attack/ defend if all the points are blu and there setup gates.

Multiple stage i havent tried yet but i think you place the stages on the same map and place a INGAME NEXT ZONE thingie in the black space between the maps

Arena

Set up a respawn room with health and use 2 points right next to each other one red, one blu
set up gates not recommened but you can do i think

Other things
Kill/ kill on touch IDK
Box showing a scout in a room  Respawn room
Frag/Frag on touch KaBOOM
wall with intel on it, that teams color if player has intel he can pass
bullet hitting wall, block bullets
player hitting wall, blocks players
Setup gate, Gives a team setup time used in attack/defend

so can you make a map with only 3 cps?
whats the neutral cp do well the one with the ? in it

my points still all act funny when i try to place them in a test map

it works as long as you have 2 one for each team other then
attack/defend needs a setup gate with red attacking all the points can be blu
the ? flags are unowned and never locked they let you only have one or more points in play.

ex (normal map)
Cp1    cp2   cp3   cp4     cp5
Red   Red    ?       Blu     Blu
lock  lock  unlock  lock   lock
1 point in play

Blu caps it, it is now a blu point

Cp1    cp2     cp3   cp4     cp5
Red     Red     blu      Blu     Blu
lock  unlock  unlock   lock   lock
2 in play

A crazy map
Cp1    cp2      cp3      cp4     cp5
Red      ?          ?         ?       Blu
lock  unlock   unlock  unlock   lock

im tryin to do somthing like this

cp1             cp2                  cp3
red               ?                    blu

but it makes the blu one locked and the other 2 are unlocked
so blu can take over the red one without controling the ? one first, but red has to control the ? before geting the blu one to unlock
i do not have a set up gate, incase you ask

the reason i want 3 instead of 5, is cause in all cp maps i played so far is a huge turtlefest, and 5 points is just too many, imo.
with 3 cps i think it would make the game a little faster and hopfuly easyer and funner for both teams

Do this in Garrison builder it turns out like this in game (or at least on mine it does)

is it possible to make blu the attacking team instead of red?

also, how (if possible) do you make a CP that locks on capture?

bah i cant seem to get a normal attack and defend cp map i do this

Cp1    cp2   cp3   cp4     cp5
Red   Red    ?       Blu     Blu

but to capture cp3 you need to go to cp2 or cp4 and to capture cp3 you need to go to cp2 or cp3 then to capture cp1 or cp5 you can use them or cp2 or cp cp4.

try different ways of doing cp but all end up as the above. Does it need to have the cps on the same level

Just to clarify the behaviour of CPs.

The game will automatically assign teams to the CPs, it doesn't matter what they look like in Garrison Builder.

For example, if it's a traditional cp map with 3 cps, it will automatically assign cp1 red, cp2 neautral, and cp3 blue.  For multiple CPs red will always start as cp1 and blue as the highest cp.  So it's important to place them correctly.  If it's attack/defend they will all be assigned to blue, so no you can't make blue attack.

The only element you need to make it an attack/defend map is the setup gate.  As soon as that's in the map, GG2 will know it's an attack/defend map and act accordingly.

what if you use set up gates and no cps, just intels instead, i havnt tried it yet but will the gates block off an area for a min then go away like normal, or will they even function?

i guess GB is getting confused and i need to move the cps in different places =/

I finally got cp to work on that map but when i test it the capture point it doesn't want to capture all the time also it says 2 people are on it when 1 person is on it im just wondering if its just me or the game because i been noticing lately in a game of ctf when one person scores the flag the team gets 2 points instead of 1
