Yeah, nice little history lesson though. Does any one know why gamemaker hates every and all variable defined in the creat event that I try to use in the draw event?

Thank Ryo, he's the weapons designer. I mostly do sprites and other coding stuff. Ryo's also the one who made arcade mode.

So, there's 2 special characters who are completely coded in now: Mario (present I believe in beta 1) and Beat. Mario has a higher jump height (hurrrrr) and Beat has lower gravity, airfriction, and a boost which propels him about 4 tiles forward. Also, you'll be able to configure your movement controls via gg2 (i'm currently too lazy to make the controls menu)

So, with the next version release which will include: all of the secret characters abilities (hopefully), an easier way to get to the characters (not having to mash the a/d keys 20 times in a row), weapon sets, special weapons for every character, at least 1 boss battle, 2 or 3 bgm tracks, some sfx, and a possibility to boot this up to playable projects.
