Card'n'Board games General
« on: April 08, 2011, 04:43:25 pm »

We probably had another for the board games, but whatever.

I'm getting pretty hooked to this Chrononauts game, seeing the amazing reviews I've read. I was wondering if there was a way to play it online as well, it'd be swell.

Plus, who else ever played Risk?

IT'S TIME TO D-D-D-D-D-D-D-DUEL
You know, for as much as I've seen kids collecting these, I never saw any of them actually playing them during my childhood.

After watching the abridged series I assumed no one knew what the fuck they were doing. Unless you count my girl but even she has no idea how did she manage to play them, and a couple of blokes I've seen in front of my university.

Me too, gentlemen. Actually though I've never been able to hold Australia for long, aside from one of the very first time I played the game.

I always found conquering and defending South America so much easier, because 1) Everyone knows Australia is op, so they immediately try to desperately grab it, 2)It's a bit less cramped than Australia, 3) It offers similar extra units and 4) You can attack both Africa and America. Of course they can try to attack you as well, but generally N. America is one of the least favorite continents to pick, so you can try to put a stone wall in Venezuela/Central America and attack North Africa (which is generally a very contested area).

Also theta why did you throw me here

Stratego.  It's like being a CO of a bunch of newbies that have no idea what they're doing.  It reminds me of coaching a whole team at once in TF2.   Good times..............

replays suck, use demos
demos are only good for setting traps, use soldier if you want to be aggressive and still have explosions
