I'm having second thoughts of bumping this, but here goes, anyway.

Basically this means that this thread needs a sequel.

What the hell ever happened to Mechwarrior. Did it just fall off the back of Microsoft's truck when it stopped being profitable?

Most definitely a pc Cave Story with no repackaging bullcrap. I'd pay it on steam too.

I highly doubt something like Cave Story would be on Steam.

Or rather, I doubt Pixel would want it to be. By the people for the people and all... Or at least before Nicalis started sucking his lifeblood through a straw.

Also, you don't think a Pixel-created prequel would be more likely than a sequel?

Carmageddon. It has a sequel, but it sucks. Also, www.carmageddon.com has a countdown clock to e3.

Well, that's true. The prequel thing.
Although aside from another similar game, it'd be cool if it was a rts. Or if it dealt with the creations of Quote and other stuff.

Quote was one of those robot soldiers and that green guy pointed that out.
Partly.

Quote and Curly were indeed surface robots like the rest, but unlike the others, they were sent with the explicit goal to destroy the Demon Crown and take down the current crown holder, not to capture it.

Long story short, while they were trying to do that, Miakid (the human crown holder right before the Doc) got ahold of it, Q&CB got their asses handed to them, (Miakid is taken down by other robots? Speculation here, Pixel never filled in that gap), ten years pass between Q/CB getting KO'd, then the events of the game happen.

Oh and the green guy (or maybe guys, plural?) is/are called Cthulhu.

That's too obvious.

It goes without saying.
