what do you mean dissapointing

it's pretty god damn good in comparison to the effing gamecube which launched with Luigi's mansion, a terrible batman game, and a bunch of sports titles.

It's alos pretty large in comparison to the N64 what with it only launching with SM64 and Pilot Wings

Go back to the Nintendo DS, all it really had was SM64DS...

Basically it's pretty good as far as all nintendo launches go, what are you talking about =/

If PSP had dual thumbsticks it would seriously rule the world
The new one has two analog sticks

Uncharted on the go = :c1:

Also to be frank the 3DS has failed to catch my attention, the launch titles seem shit for the most part and 3D doesn't really stand out as much as "A handheld as powerful as the PS3 with touch screen and touch pad on back and cameras". I wonder how much it'll cost though

But the problem is that both probably have shit battery life

which is disappointing as portables are sacrificing convenience for graphics, but fuck 5 hours max, that won't last a plane trip to California or something.

It's like in the Early Nineties and Nintendo came out on top with their vastly inferior gameboy, that sold because of the superior battery life and doesn't force you to carry around 6 batteries with you, except nitnendo's doing the reverse, while tacking in 3D

I imagine setting the thing to 2D mode would enhance battery life.

it's still only 8 hours top for regular DS games (they don't use the super powerful gpu or something), I think that the slider doesn't change anything, as that's more of a hardware setting than something actually draining the battery life

A flight from North Carolina to California is like 5 and a half hours and they're on opposite ends of the country, and I can't imagine you'd be playing the entire time. 5 hours is a decent battery life.

I'm pretty sure it was said that having 3D at the max is 3 hours-3 hours and a half and having it all the way down is 8 hours.

Oh wait

"3-5 hours for 3DS games and 5-8 hours for DS games, depending on screen brightness (1300 mAh)"

Luigi's Mansion was an awesome game. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle came out in those days as well, and that was a remake, yes, but it contained much more features instead of higher res graphics. Eternal Darkness and Pikmin also came out with it. Also, what about Super Monkey Ball, that game's cool.

Large doesn't equal good. SM64 was amazing for the time, same for Pilot Wings from what I've heard. I didn't see any ground breaking original title being launched with the 3ds.

SM64DS has the same deal as Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Updated release, but they had the decency to add a fuckload of content. I didn't personally like Metroid Prime Hunters, but it's just because I don't like Metroid in general, though they say it was pretty effin' good. They also released two small but relatively fun games, Pokčmon Dash and Zoo Keeper.

Well the PSP battery is actually pretty good, I can last a long time without having to charge it. I think they are upgrading the battery for the PSP.
