because you either mean 9v9 which is dumb because even 4v4 is super laggy, or classlimits of 1 which is how we play already

I suppose this goes here...

I am planning on holding a late fall tourney.

I want at least 10 teams.

Here's the catch though, first place winners get a prize, probably 400 Microsoft points.

I would love to get this it's own thread, but nothing is set in stone, and I don't want to get anyone's hopes up just yet.

Please think thoroughly before committing to anything. A lot of tournaments have had lofty plans and have failed miserably before.

My main concern is that you want at least 10 unique teams. Is this 3v3 or 4v4? How about subs per team? The general standard right now is 4v4 with 2 subs, which means you're going to have to find 60 players to commit to the tournament (of course, there will likely be sub overlap between teams, so it's not really a solid 60). If you scale that back a bit, and remove the substitute player requirement, that is still 40 players, except with a higher probability of matches dying due to people not showing. The bar might be set a tad high with 10+ teams.

Having a lot of teams sign up looks good on paper, but the reality is that with school term for most people during the fall season, it's going to be hard to accomplish.

Also, you might want to wait and check in with what Intel Guard is planning so there isn't any overlap in scheduling.

Alright, I'm going to talk to some people, and figure this all out. I'll try and talk to Intel too.

Would any of you be interested in a 3v3 tourney (3v3 because even 4v4 is hard with our current playerbase), sign ups beginning now and playing by the end of June? I'll commit myself to it to notify everyone if they have to play etc.

Necro-bump as fuck ...

I'm in a competitive mode with GG2 recently. 2016 1v1? I've also really been liking the idea of GG2 fours [rocketman, healer, overweight, runner]. I feel like the best we can muster now-a-days are 1v1s. The question is: can we muster enough folks to pull a tournament bracket?

I'd like to be part of it, but most forumers these days are either busy with other things, are not available at the same time, or simply don't play the game anymore. Maybe 60% of the matches in the 1v1 were actually played, the rest of the matches didn't happen because at least one participant didn't show up.

If you could get the regular players you see in game to join the forums and discuss it here, plan things out, maybe you could get something to work out.
