Why does everyone have to be so sarcastic on these forums, especially in announcement threads? People come here to become informed about things relating to GG2. It seems a bit counter-intuitive if no one can give you a straight answer on anything.
Was there really nothing at all in this update? I want a logical explanation as to why I had to sit and wait for 2 minutes for my client to update.
If there was no new content, there's no reason to make people sit through an "update" just so you can put some silly splash in your game. Geesh.
There was nothing added of use outside of the celebration. A while back, I made plans to try to get 2.3 out in time for GG2's birthday but I did not meet that deadline. The next best thing was to allow the players to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of GG2's creation with festive embellishments.
If you didn't want to download the update, you aren't forced to. 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 are both compatible with one another. All that'll happen is that you're prompted for an
optional but
recommended update. You were even instructed to read the announcement board for more information. It was explicitly stated by me that it was just the addition of party hats and confetti blood for birthday mode, nothing more, nothing less.
