How about this: It's modified based on the total number of players on each team. If you have 5 people on red, it takes 3 people to cap. if red loses a member, it still requires 3 people. Same with a 3 person team. But on a two person team, it requires 2, and on a one person team, one.

Im planning on changing the CP mechanic, to the original TFC mechanic, and i've done something hilarious with the concussion grenade.

And what about the Nail Grenade?
It's by far the worst grenade, simply because it takes way too long to start.
TFC2 Features Demo In this video, you can see the Nail Grenade takes half-a-second to start shooting, on the contrary to THOSE GODDAMN 2 SECONDS.


Also, the Medic grenade needs a TOTAL revamp.
As it is, people can just stay on top of the grenade and get fully healed, which makes it the most overpowered grenade because all the damage you do to the enemy is nullified for 4 seconds. All the while getting hit by bullets/needles/rockets because they can hurt you but you can't hurt them.

What I propose is this: A healing beam going out of the grenade that stays for 4 seconds and heals 37 HP per second. That makes in total 148 HP healed. Since most classes have less than 148 HP, it's a fairly great heal. Plus you can out-damage the heal, which makes retreating from a battle the most viable option to be healed -similiar to GG2 where if you wanna get fully healed, you gotta retreat from the fight.


Oh and another thing, the Super Nailgun does great damage. The Nailgun does shitty damage.
The damage they do is not the problem. The problem is the choice of the class for each weapon. Why does the Medic, a SUPPORT class, has such a great weapon? Why does the Scout, an OFFENSIVE class, has a shitty weapon? He's the most fragile out of the two, he should have the best Nailgun.
I don't care if it is or isn't TFC-ish. What I care is my gameplay being balanced.


Finally, just a suggestion:
Give a Nail Grenade to the Sniper. That grenade can give some rather interesting strategies to a Long-range class such as him.

I actually broke the glass with coke i was holding while reading this post.

While i  agree to the most arguments (Nail & Healing grenade) i absolutely disagree about giving the scout a stronger weapon.

The scout has the weakest gun for a reason.

Imagine if i gave the scout the Supernailgun of the medic.
EVERY single scout wouldn't give a fuck about getting the objectives done, which the class is actually designed for.
He is not designed for combat, he is designed for getting flags and capping CPs.
The medic on the other hand, was a combat class in TFC, and i'll keep it that way.

About the grenades.

The medic grenade got nerfed, and has now a healing aura of 64 pixels, it does not shoot the particles all over the place anymore.
The nail grenade is clearly underpowered and mostly useless, however i still need to figure out, how it needs to be.
Maybe shooting in a 360 circle instead of just left and right would be a better solution.


And thanks for the TF2C video, i fucking hate that mod.

Fortress Forever - Demonstration of Classes - 1 - I have no idea why it takes 2 seconds for the Nail Grenade to activate itself, since in all the TFC videos I saw the Nail Grenade starts immediately. In any case, the activation time is the main reason why it's useless. The other grenades start immediately, so why not the Nail Grenade?

Fine... I still don't like how a class that can regenerate health be a combat one.
