I got emerald a few weeks ago and I'm playing through it for the first time. I have no idea what type of pokemon I have because I give them all ridiculous nicknames, and don't recognize any of them from my previous pokemon experiences (see: red and gold).

Currently I'm stuck at the twin bosses for the 7th badge, my biggest pokemon, Volcano (he's the turtle with the volcano on his back (original name, I know)) is like 5 levels below their lowest level pokemon, and they are all psychic so my fighters are getting schooled pretty hard.

I've reached a state where I need to do some serious xp grinding and I just don't have the time and motivation so I'm beginning to lose interest, but I'll get through those twin psychic bastards eventually.

Remember when you could just blow through the entire game with your starter, then use him to wreck your friends, too?

What's the deal with all this new crap about IVs and EVs and I don't even?

They were there in red and blue too. But that doesn't change the fact that they suck and should be taken out.

EVs and IVs are irrelevant atm?

Anyway, yeah, the twins in r/s/e suck.  They always need grinding for me unless I had the water starter (MUDKIPPPPPP).

ANyway, I have soul silver, and I'm in blackthorne town or whatever, 8th gym badge here.  Got my: Feraligatr, Haunter, Ampharos, and Murkrow.

Wait, why the hell should they be taken out?  They dont' impede the game for people who don't know about them, or affect the community in an adverse way.

I've still got my old silver DSphat.

Unfortunately not even the old chunky DSs were made of Nintendium, judging by the big crack in the top screen.

My current DS Lite is fine, though. I really don't see the point of a DSi or a DSiXL.

I have an old Blue one, and the top screen is only held on to the lower one by 1 hinge.

I have a GBASP so I don't see the point in getting an older Lite just for the GBA port when I could very well get exclusives and extra content.

Like a free web browser.
Why would I need that?

No idea but it's free.

DSi is a good idea UNLESS you still own a DS with both slots, and don't have a gameboy advanced.  Don't have a DS and have an advanced?  Might as well get a DSi, as a regular DS won't offer much more.

XL is retarded though, don't get it.
