it kinda sucks that you can't play most of the mana intensive cards (except winning combos) since you get overrun in <6 rounds when you play against a well built deck. hell it's even possible to kill in the first round.

so it's a nice time waster if you play it with your friends for for, when someone makes a serious deck (like tournament serious) then it's kinda like a kick into the balls. if you are too cheap to buy the real cards you can jost go to a website like magiccards.info and print them out.

kobolds are da bess.

I played it for quite a while, though I've lost interest recently.  It's definitely one of the best TCGs out there.

You cannot kill with a one-turn drop, you can't really start combos with a one-turn drop <_<

Magic is great, but lately they've just been making really overpowered cards, added a 4th tier of rareness called "mythic rares" and made them fucking expensive.

Magic would have been cool a few years ago, but now it's retarded.  IMO anyway.  It's tons better than most TCGs.

Personally I like The Spoils. People have told me it's similar to MTG but it has some appeal that magic never did.
Also, the card art is just beautiful.

It looks interesting and I may start collecting them. Should I?

Also, how much would you say a standard booster pack costs and how many cards are in them?

Son, I told you I wouldn't buy those devil cards and I meant it.

Magicetc is something you shouln'd enter very seriously. I mean, if you buy 2 or 3 decks just to have some fun it's fine, it's a very nice game to play, especially when you use image editors to make your own cheap and overpowered cards.

But just like any other card game, taking it too seriously is just wrong.

It's a fuckload of cards, save your money for something more important
And you could always download the images from the internet and print them on that special paper thing

But that's cheating. I think I'm just going to buy a couple booster packs first.

I've been through this twice before in my life. First with Yu-Gi-Oh and then with pokemon. This card shop that used to be in a nearby city had this thing where you could browse through a shitload of cards from the popular card games and buy common cards for like 25 cents each. That's how I got my Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I admired how some of my friends only got cards from booster packs and just collected them unlike me who bought starter decks and picked which cards I got.

I got into pokemon cards in middle school. All I did in grade 8 was pokemon whether it be cards or the games, I loved it. I bought all this stuff to collect Pokemon cards like card cases and stuff. I bought 2 starter decks and about 3 booster packs. All I can find now is my blaziken from a starter deck.

But I've always wondered what mtg was. I accidently got a booster pack for christmas one year and didn't know what they were or how to play them. I sold them to that game store I mentioned earlier for like a dollar. Then again, this one feels different. I might try to ease into it. I don't know anyone else in my real life who collects them which is kind of making me say don't collect them in my head. Meh, who cares, I'm buying them.
