Well we have a fix for the downloading maps bug

turned out if you're download the map for the first time, it didn't even go to the custom maps, maybe if you could sneak the code from here http://www.ganggarrison.com/forums/index.php?topic=20436.msg466129#msg466129 (the last couple of lines)

that'd be nice

What happens is there's an official source that's checked out like a library book. Whoever checks it out merges their stuff and then checks it back in and uploads the new source. The cycle continues.

And as it happens, the source is currently up for grabs.

Does anyone still check launchpad? There's a bunch of old, "new", bugs.

So it's not just me

So it's not just me

So it's not just me

So it's not just... deja vu?

You know, the mods should just delete this board, wait for a noob thread asking where to put bug reports, and make a sticky there.

Or delete all the useless threads on this board and lock the useful ones.

Yes, we do. See my reply above in this thread:

We do look at the bugs at Launchpad, but first there’s usually not all that much development happening, and when there is most developers seem to prefer adding new features to cleaning up old bugs. It’s understandable, doing something new is far more rewarding than wading through someone else’s code.

The point is that your bug probably wouldn’t have been solved either if all bug reporting was still done here, but at least at Launchpad it won’t be lost by drifting to page 5 with no way to tell at a glance if it’s already fixed or not.

If I can convince the other devs to use GmkSplitter+Git, the situation might improve a bit, because then it would be possible for someone with an hour or two of free time to just fix some bugs even if someone else is working on new features at the same time. Also, other people could fix bugs and send us patches then. For small fixes like for the custom map bug the copypaste-method works alright, but as soon as three or more scripts/objects have to be changed you won't want to make the changes manually.
