aka Andrea.

did you know that spinning stars work like this???

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. execute_strings on fire off the shoulder of Overmars. I watched object-beams glitter in the dark near the room_goto_fix. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears...in...rain. Time to die.

Well, my "microwave oven" doesn't seem to want to host. I did all of the router steps, allowed it through my firewall, and it still doesn't work. I even tried the automatic method, but then my computer just stays frozen. I don't feel too bad, my computer isn't that powerful anyway.

If any of you feel like hosting my map...

I'm sure you're the exception and your port [of GG2] will be more successful than all the other ports.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to as the automatic method. There was a warning that your computer may freeze before starting a server but not during gameplay. My computer would stay frozen...but should I have waited longer?

How long does it is supposed to last? I think mine lasted more than a few minutes, that's why I thought it couldn't port forward. I mean, I know its supposed to freeze a little, but I guess I thought most users experienced the freeze over a period of seconds rather than minutes.

I figured out what the problem was. I was typing 3190 instead of 8190 for the port. Derp :P

The IP from your command line, the one beginning with 192.168. is the one you need. It's your network's internal address, which we need since port forwarding maps a port on your external address (what Google would give you) to an internal address (what your command line gives you).

That looks right.

If I reset my router so that the login settings return to default, will that make my wifi password and SSID (or whatever it's called) change or just not exist?

Depends on your router. Sometimes, you'll get a default username and password (usually admin and password or something like that). Other routers wipe the password entirely but keep a default SSID.
