I can see your point Chu, but I find good mappers nullify the issue anyways, knowing it's a bad idea to force players to use the hard limits for what's supposed to be an easy jump. If you're aiming to make platforms that are easy to access or jumps that are easy to make while you are also able to easily dodge, you wouldn't be utilizing nine or 10 pixel heights anyways, right? You'd likely use something along the lines of seven or eight pixels if it's an enclosed space, or five or six for something in the open, like a crate.

Since 9 pixels and 10 pixels are functionally the same difficulty to jump in a hurry anyways, I feel it's preferable to just give the hard limit, map makers are smart enough to figure out how to make their jumps work properly without an unneccesary infodump.

except when you're giving information to people who know what they're doing (who actually go looking for information) you're not supposed to give a simplified version, you're supposed to say everything, not just what you think they need to know.

Characters can jump up to 9 pixels high and 10 pixels high when pressed up against a wall. Adjust ledge heights at your own discretion.

how do i use my maps in gg2, it says my new map is in valid and i did every thing right in the GB. :cry: I'LL POST IT LATER, sorry forgot caps.

Go to your Gang Garrison 2 Folder and put your map in your map folder.

Find the file sampleMaprotation.txt; if you do not have a file like that make it.

Type your map name in a space where there are no hashtags(#), specifically where the maps are listed.

Save the File

Go to your GG2.ini file and look for the [Server] section.

Now what you want to do is go to the first thing under [Server] and look at "maprotation=" type in sampleMaprotation.txt in place of the blank. NO SPACES

Now sometimes it doesn't work for some odd reason, so as a just in case you go to the bottom and look for the section labeled [Maps] and go to the first entry where it says "ctf_truefort=1" and change it into "(Your Map Name)=1". NO SPACES

Run Gang Garrison 2 and Host a game. If your map doesn't come up restart a couple times sometimes it doesn't work on the first run. If it still doesn't come up then you did something wrong.

How do I test my map? When I open it there is "you will respawn when the next round start." And.. Nothing. Help me.

If Arena then you must have 2 people, open another GG2.exe and manually connect to yourself if you have more than one slot

Other modes such as TDM might suffer from this as well, Wareya confirm?

As for Manually connecting to yourself, just click Join (manual) and hit ENTER twice
