Welcome stuffmakers. It's my pleasure to announce a very special event, possibly the first of its kind in Gang Garrison history, the first annual Gang Garrison 2 Haxxy Awards! The Haxxy Awards, our own version of TF2's Saxxy Awards, is a competition for the creative minds of Gang Garrison 2 to see who can make the best maps, mods, art, and screenshots. Pour your blood, sweat, and tears into your creations for a chance to win cool prizes and internet fame!
General rules:
- Each contestant can submit up to 2 entries, each in a different category.
- If you want to submit another one (3rd), in a different category, please remove one of the previous entries.
- Each contestant has to make his own topic in categories he wants to participate in. Topics' name should be "[SUBCATEGORY] [Username] - [title of the submission]".
- You can post WIP images and discuss in your topic, but be sure to post your final entry in the OP (your first post).
- You can change your entry as many times as you want, but make sure to change title in topic's name and post your work in the OP.
- We only allow cooperation in the Best Non-Sprite Mod category. And decide on who's the leader - his username should be in topic's name.
- You can submit your entries for about 2 weeks after the contest starts (exact date to be announced, we may also give you some "overtime" after that).
- After submissions are closed, the jury will pick the 5 best entries from each category and let the community vote. Winners will be announced when we decide that voting should end.
- You can submit entries finished/started before the contest has started in all categories except Mods and Maps.
- You are allowed, or even encouraged, to add link to your entries in your signature
If you have any questions or concerns, post them in the Haxxy General Board (http://www.ganggarrison.com/forums/index.php?board=44.0). The other boards are for submissions only.
And yes, this is a legitimate update, have a changelog:
- Tweaked movement for airblasted players (slightly more control and friction)
- Attempting to control your motion when moving very fast (e.g. when rocktejumping) will slow you down now
- Fixed minejuggled teammates receiving the control penalty of minejuggled enemies
- Improved stabbing behaviour; You can now stab opponents and sentries close to walls, as long as there is a clear path
- Changed revoler reload from clip to single bullets
- Fixed impact sprite (what you see when e.g. bullets hit obstacles) being off-center
