Title: QuickFix Update

New Update!
Nothing major, just a lot of small fixes and tweaks, the only major new feature is password protected servers.

Enjoy.

Changelog
-Autoguns fixed so they won't hit players under the effect of Superburst, and they will now hit cloaked spies in between them and their target
-Pyro flames no longer hurt players under the effect of Superburst, and Superburst will now extinguish any flames on a player
-Rifleman can no longer shoot through setup gates/bullet walls
-Sentry unbuilding/regenerating health should be fixed
-Autoguns can no longer shoot through other Autoguns
-Autoguns cannot be built within a certain distance of other Autoguns
-Reduced Bandwidth used for Autogun
-Added Intel and Autogun notifications
-Mines can Destroy Rockets again
-Fixed bug where Rifleman shots would damage all Autoguns
-Fixed Bug where Mines would heal Autoguns
-Fixed camera bug, where the player would move without the viewfinder following
-Infiltrators get 2 points for Backstab
-Added Password protected servers
-Future updates will display changelog with update notification

Also, custom CP maps should load the control points correctly now.

I absolutely love how GG2 keeps on expanding and progressing.  Plus automatic updates are awesome 8D.

Isnt it Rockets can destroy mines?

They only couldn't for a brief update that was about a day.   Mines not being able to destroy rockets mid air has been gone for a bit, but it's back.

I am positively jubilant, particularly regarding the autogun tweaks. And I'm sure some of my buddies will appreciate the backstab thing. 

As Chris apparently said while I was typing this, in the past a mine that was detonated right beside a rocket would destroy it as well. This disappeared with the last update and now seems to be back.

On Dustbowl, the gates that don't open until that 50 second setup thing, well, before this update, snipers on both sides could fire through the gates and get kills for it.

Yep.. huge greifing from dropping a gun next to a friendly gun.. they can't shoot through eachother anymore

Poorly detected intel is giving me headaches. If I have fake intel, or don't know I have real intel, how do I achieve the goal? Just for this bug the Infiltrator class is nerfed.

The sentry tweak seems to have broken a few things actually, I've had it crash twice on me (http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/1365/fuckingsentries.png) and had some odd bugs that looked like stacked autoguns even though there appeared to be only one there while playing on Bacon Town just a few minutes ago.


But still cool.


Edit: that probably should have gone into bug reports but eh well

It looked like a sentry automatic shotgun on my client, but it only did damage like 1 sentry.

Not to mention I get sentry error codes now in Bacon.

Everything looks fine, except -Also, custom CP maps should load the control points correctly now. (I don't get it, still no Arena maps?)

Yeah, those are the ones I'm talking about along with the errors on Bacon Town.
I've also seen countless broken sentries that kept shooting despite not actually existing anymore, but they don't do any damage.

Yeah, those are the ones I'm talking about along with the errors on Bacon Town.
I've also seen countless broken sentries that kept shooting despite not actually existing anymore, but they don't do any damage.

dammit! it is way easy to kill 2sentrys on the same spot then 2 diffrent ones! :angry:
It's better to put them in two different spots, because then if one is destroyed you still have the other.

Go to your GG2 folder.

Is there a .exe called gg2updater?

It should have a black icon with like a log on it.

If not, I doubt the GG2.exe will know how to update.

I found it, but it isn't working right.

Just update all your GG2.exe via the website, also get a new updater.

See if that works.

The sentry is a lot weaker than what you think it is.

Clear your cache if you redownload and it doesn't work.

If the auto updater does not work for you try disc cleanup and try again.

It happens more often depending on the lag. I noticed it nearly every single game I played on Bacon Town one day when it was particularly laggy. The cleaner servers usually don't have this issue as often though.
