So I looked back last 2 years of playing GG2 and found out that players just keep getting less and less, before I used to see players filling up entire servers but now no one seems to be filling anything up. I noticed this after the April Fooless Update and I am gonna be honest here, that update brought alot of unwanted lag mainly due to the increased particles such as: reload animations, bullets shells and Garrison Builder being implemented in the game (No, donīt think that I hated this update, I certainly loved it!)

Iīve seen alot of servers disappear lately, before there were like 19 severs being hosted during 2013 but only about 4 being hosted in 2015?!

Is there a possibility that this could happen:   


Will GG2 even last for the next 3 years?!

Yeah it doesn't get much worse than this. We just have to make sure not to encourage any behavior that pushes away the non-regular players.

GG2 died a natural death, as is fitting. We're hoping to get on steam, though.

That seems like a good idea! Although what if we downloaded the game through the website and not steam, will that be a problem?(I am not a coder so if i just said something wrong iam sorry)

No. Depending on how it works, we might not be able to implement steamworks DRM even if we're forced to, though I think switching to the MPL would help that a lot.

I'm waiting to see what Warsow does. They got on steam, but they're not up yet, and I think it's due to GPL-induced issues.
