So when will internet shut down?
Obama Rejected the bill

http://newsone.com/nation/casey-gane-mccalla/obama-stops-controversial-sopa-internet-piracy-bill/
correction: the bill hasn't been voted on yet.

if it passes through congress, it'll go to him, which he'll veto, then it will go to the senate which will require a 2/3 vote to pass.

i may be totally wrong on some of that. not having a social studies class hurts

I was thinking that the Americans and shit could support a genuinely good presidential candidate. If someone was down-to-earth and intelligent, they could really grab onto both sides and stay there. We have the tools to spread the word and I'm sure we could get the support of some of the less evil corporations.

The problem is that to even get to the position of a candidate, you have to have massive amounts of people and money backing you up. Those amounts are not gained honestly, and not without having to pledge yourself to a variety of big wallets (like those complaining now that Obama broke his part of the deal).
You also have to think that the good people often prefer the industry; Far more money and much less problems.

What about that guy who was outsourcing his income to puerto rico to avoid taxes? Sounds kinda sleezy to me, I wouldn't vote for him.

Got these info from Everyboty forums, please guys don't skim 'em

Quote
OP here with an ACTA update. Today might be the darkest day of the internet. I'm going to give you all of the information about ACTA I possibly can, because we may not get another chance.

ACTA information
Who to call to make it stop
Operation: Anti-Acta
ACTA UK Support
List of European MPE's and their stance toward ACTA implementation
IRC and other websites

This is all the information i've been able to gather. Everything I know. They can take our Freedom, but they can never take our Internet. No matter what happens in the next few days, never stop fighting Everyboty. Never give up. Godspeed to all of you.
