Here's a bugfix and balance release to round off the edges of 2.3 a bit. What exactly changed? Here you go:
General changes
- Switched to Faucet Networking v1.0
- Disconnecting now sends you to the lobby instead of the main menu
- Improved and less kitten-like detonator protrait animation
Balance changes
- Buffed Blade damage (6->6.5, lower falloff with ammo)
- Nerfed diagonal rocketjumping
- Nerfed soldier HP (175 -> 160)
- Nerfed airblast / rocket juggling (victim retains more control)
- Buffed afterburn (higher maximum damage and duration, but faster decay)
- Slower firing of bubbles
- Nerfed unscoped rifle (40->35), but buffed scoped rifle (40-70 -> 45-75)
Bugfixes
- Small medigun overhaul (fixes "sticky medibeam", #757267)
- Fixed crash in doEventPlayerDeath (Bug #749469)
- Fix "Unknown variable commandBytes" (Bug #757047)
- Fix room_goto_fix not destroying the nonpersistent instances immediately (Cause of Bug #752128)
- Fixed cape color of the blue medic in the character portrait animtion
- Slightly improved iteration over players on map change (Bug #521539)
- Made notices be displayed over the Sentry HUD
- Made the Specator object not "lock-on" to dead players
- Fixed the Credits to include RebelINS and Waterfall

You might be interested to know that the "custom maps bug" has finally been found and will be fixed soon. With 10 separate reports on Launchpad ranging from 2009 to today (with symptoms ranging from error messages to "falling through floors"), this is probably the most notorious bug in the history of gg2.

encourages players to scope with snipers, use rocketman less often, pyro to be more active and bring quote and curly back alive.

Garrison Updater's timer is intentionally "glitchy", look at the source code, it's randomized. A jab at steam's inconsistent download rates at times where it shows fluctuating download speeds.

3D games like TF2 are made by paid proffesional with quality material. They almost always run smoother than our open-source Game Maker game, even if they're resource-intensive. You can't compare them.

Urgh, Rocketman was my main. Ah well, now's a great time to train up my other main (Healer) and maybe some new classes (Rifleman, Quote/Curly) or brush up on a class or two I've neglected a bit (Overweight, Firebug).

Actually adding new game-changing features is constantly being discussed by testers. The problem is that since they change the way a class is played, there are a multitude of minimal yet crucial fixes the other classes need to receive to compensate the new overpowered one. It's pretty much the reason why both flarebursts and improved rocketjumping came out at the same time.

they nerfed the rocket man 2 times arleary(range AND HP,making rocketjumping even more dangerius)
and their rockets lose damage as they pass by players...
oh and vertical boost was lowered
Now its a BIT under powered

In terms of geography Rocketman is the himalaya and the pyro is the netherlands. Even if you take 1000 meters from the rocketman, it's still above the firebug.

now that pyros can airblast their flames,they can damage him whitout having him to shot a single rocket
on long-range
they can still reflect rockets

The people who are worth their salt aren't up in arms with complaints. Hell, most of them were in favor of balance changes. If you're too blind to see that, it's your prerogative.
